SOMA will be collaborating with Brighten A Day for an October Halloween Card Drive. Students will create Halloween-themed cards with positive, encouraging messages that Brighten A Day will distribute to Mercy Center for Women, UPMC Hamot, Asbury Nursing Home, Shriners Children’s Hospital, and the U.S. Committee for Refugees and Immigrants. This service project gives students an opportunity to spread Halloween cheer to children, hospital patients, nursing home residents, women in need, and refugees and immigrants throughout the community. Per SGA guidelines, students may receive 1 volunteer hour for every 10 cards completed, with a maximum of 3 SGA hours per card drive. For TOUCH hours, students may receive a maximum of 2 hours per card drive
