In honor of International Smile Day being in October, as a region we have decided to have each COM’s SOMA Chapter in Region 1 do a community service project to put a smile on others faces. For our SOMA Chapter, we would like to make homemade cards for the residents at LECOM at Village Square. We would like to do this during our lunch breaks from 11:20 – 12:20 on October 28th and 29th, and SOMA would provide all participants with the materials necessary to make the cards. At the time of the event, we plan to provide participants with prompts of what they can include in the card along with a list of what cannot be included in the cards. We hope to be able to carry out this small task and give a smile to the elders in our community.
