SOMA wants to create a COVID-safe opportunity for students to get involved in the Erie community. Having this drive creates an event for LECOM students to reach out and be involved with the Erie community.
SOMA will be putting together a Holiday Card drive. This will be a contactless event, and we propose having collection boxes at the entrance to Main Campus. Students will be able to leave the cards for collection. Items will be picked up at the end of the drive by myself (Ellie Schommer) or Co-Chair Garrett Kettle. We will advertise this event to the entire Class of 2024 and class of 2025 so they are able to participate. At the conclusion of the drive, I will arrange a date and time to drop off the supplies to St. Mary’s Senior Living Center. This will be done in a contact-free manner.
