The event will include dinner that will be catered by either the location’s in-house services and will have a dance floor for those interested. Check in for guests will begin at 7PM and dinner will be served from 8-9PM. The dance floor will then be opened up from 8-11pm for any interested in dancing. Dr. Johannessen or Dr. Allen will be the faculty advisor on site the evening and security/paramedics will be hired if required by LECOM policy. The event will be strictly non alcoholic and a zero tolerance policy will be in place for those arriving intoxicated, consuming alcohol at the event, or are planning on consuming and driving alcohol later. The event planning committee is open to options for ensuring this policy is upheld. The estimated attendance for the event after recent class surveys for OMS1and OMS2 students is 300. Tickets will be sold at a price between $30 and $40 each if purchased before the end of Fall Semester and $40 if purchased the week of the event. A photo booth may also be present which would assist in raising funds.
