July 27, 2021 at 3:11 PMApprovedMitchell CaseySAAO07/27/202108/27/2021SAAO is looking to have our OPP table (professional portable folding massage tables) for sale again this year. Tables will be offered in multiple colors (black, blue, burgundy, pink, cream and lavender). We are in discussion will a manufacture for the possibility of a group discount. Ordering of the table will be down over google forms. SAAO hopes to have the opportunity to use the White Coat Ceremony to promote the sale by setting up a station where parents and their students can come by to see a table and see the benefit it could have to a young osteopathic student beginning their OPP training.
August 22, 2021 at 1:14 PMApprovedLapel Pin SalePM&R Club08/22/202108/25/2021Hi, We are planning to hold a fundraiser and sell custom lapel pins for the student's white coats. I have attached images of the custom designs for approval. We do not intend to use the official logo, just the LECOM name will be included in the design. The sale will occur online, and we will post a Google Form for students to fill out their orders. The pins will be custom made by an online company, and they will hopefully be shipped within a week of the end date of the fundraiser. It is too late to have them in by the white coat ceremony for the Class of 2024, so I will just have to distribute it to our class at a specific date and time in the future. However, for the first year's class I was wondering if it would be possible to distribute their pins along with their white coats on the date of their actual ceremony. I will come in early and put a pin on each student's chair who orders one. Thank you! Best, Carlo

July 28, 2021 at 2:19 PMRejectedSAAO MS1 & MS2 Forum ReviewSAAO07/28/202108/11/2021Currently requesting approval for every Wednesday night. This will allow us to have approval in time to have a forum before the first practical on August 12th, 2021. The class practical schedule is still being confirmed and once it is we will most likely be only meeting every other week, however approval for each Wednesday will also allow us to hold a forum for more challenging topics that would otherwise be missed with the every other week schedule. SAAO will be hosting forum review sessions every other Wednesday. This will provide students with the opportunity to practice and ask any questions they may have before the practical’s that will be occurring the following day, Thursdays, in class lab. The first forum review is currently schedule for August 11, 2021. Both will take place in the OPP lab at the LECOM-ERIE main building. The MS1 forum will take place from 5:30-6:30pm pm. Break from 6:30-7:00 pm. The MS2 forum will follow from 7:00-8:00 pm. Times are subject to change, mainly the exlusion of a break between forums. July 20, 2021 at 10:48 AMApprovedClub Involvement FairLECOM SGA - Medicine - Erie07/20/202108/10/2021We would like to throw a club involvement fair to introduce the students to the different clubs offered at LECOM, boost student engagement, allow students to discover new interests, and expand upon their current interests. This would also give the students a chance to meet the SGA board, learn about the SGA podcast, and hear about any upcoming events. We will be catering from an external vendor. This event will be held outdoors which allows vaccinated students to be mask free but requires unvaccinated individuals to wear a mask. The club booths will be socially distanced and spaced appropriately. The catered food will include single serve items and waste will be disposed in non-touch trash cans. Students will have access to sanitizer and items such as pens/sign up sheets will be regulated by club board members. We will direct crowds, if any, in a single flow. We intend to use the logo on a poster board as a cut out/pasted image.
