We will meet every other Tuesday, but having all Tuesdays reserved will let us make changes in the our schedule depending on the practical schedule. Students will have the opportunity to practice and ask any questions they may have before the practicals that will be occurring the following day, Wednesdays, in class lab. Both will take place in the OPP lab at the LECOM-ERIE main building. The MS1 forum will take place from 5:30-6:30pm. The MS2 forum will follow from 6:30-7:30 pm. All in attendance are required to be SAAO members and have their local and national dues paid.

Dr. Stull is a LECOM graduate and current physician within the Medical Associates of Erie. The anticipated event will be held on January 9th from 5:30-7pm in Lecture Hall D. Our advisor, Dr. Melodie Chludzinski will be present. Furthermore, here are the COVID protocols that I ensure are upheld at all ACOS events: 1.) We will have a full roster of every individual who attends the guest lecturer event 2.) We will require masks, and uphold social distancing of at least 6 feet 3.) We will create a screening form for all members that sign up and require that they disclose any signs and symptoms, travel history, and close contact history prior to attending The educational purpose of this event is to expose students to a critical aspect of primary care, OBGYN. As some students may not have been exposed to this specialty yet, this will be a fantastic opportunity to allow students to engage with and learn from a practicing OBGYN within the LECOM Health system.

We have included the information he requested prior to resubmission. Proposed dates: Monday December 5th through Friday December 9th Idea: SOMA will be putting together a Christmas Card Drive. Cards will be made by students to bring joy to residents, so these cards will include writing from students. Students will make or fill out cards to be distributed to SLC Residents. This will be a contactless event, and we propose having collection boxes near the security doors. Students will be able to leave their cards for collection. Cards will be picked up at the end of the drive by Paarth Sharma or Co-Chair Smaran Teru. We will advertise this event to the entire Class of 2025 and class of 2026, so they are able to participate. Cards should be dropped off at the security office or at Colleen's desk on the second floor. This will be done in a contact-free manner. As has been done in other clubs, service hours will be provided with 3 cards = 1 hour of service. Cards will be dropped off at the LECOM Living Center - coordinated with Emily Carver - ecarver@lecomslc.org. Why: SOMA wants to create a COVID-safe opportunity for students to get involved in the Erie community. Having this card drive creates an event that allows LECOM students to reach out and be involved with the school and community. As this event has been very successful in the past, and Dr. Silvia Ferretti commented on what a nice event it was last year when we had the cards at Colleen’s desk, we really would like the opportunity to have it again. Here is the request for the drive that was approved last year: Idea: SOMA will be putting together a Holiday Card drive. This will be a contactless event, and we propose having collection boxes at the entrance to Main Campus. Students will be able to leave the cards for collection. Items will be picked up at the end of the drive by myself (Ellie Schommer) or Co-Chair Garrett Kettle. We will advertise this event to the entire Class of 2024 and class of 2025 so they are able to participate. At the conclusion of the drive, I will arrange a date and time to drop off the supplies to St. Mary’s Senior Living Center. This will be done in a contact-free manner. 	November 4, 2022 at 12:47 PM	Expired	YogaErie Classes to Raise Money For Lydia's Love Moments	Womens Health Club	11/04/2022	12/03/2022	In conjunction with our previous event request, YogaErie has kindly agreed to donate 2 classes towards raising money for our Lydia's Love Moments fundraiser! WHO: YogaErie Instructors and LECOM students WHAT: A 60 minute yoga class; $10/ student. All funds will go to Lydia's Love Moments to raise money for children at Ronald McDonald's House. WHERE: LECOM Wellness Center Gymnasium. All yogies will be positioned 6 feet apart and be instructed to bring their own mat or towel. All students will check in and sign a liability waiver if not a member already prior to class beginning, wearing a mask. Once on the mat and ready to start class 6 feet apart, they will be allowed to remove their mask for the duration of the workout. Once class is over, masks will be put back on promptly. WHEN: Saturday, December 3 at 9:30-10:30am WHY: As DO medical students, we know how important it is to exercise and keep our hearts healthy. While raising money for children in need of healthcare, we thought this would be a great way to get actively involved in our fundraiser while also benefitting our student body. Yoga Erie has graciously offered us a class and we feel it would form a great relationship between YogaErie and LECOM while helping support a beautiful cause. We feel that hosting an event at our own location would be easy and convenient for LECOM students, and a great way to utilize our facilities. If there is an issue with hosting at lecom wellness center, we will look into having the event at YogaErie's studio. Thank you!

	November 7, 2022 at 9:28 AM	Expired	ACOS: Suturing Clinic Series	ACOS-MSS	11/07/2022	12/02/2022	ACOS-MSS would like to provide the opportunity for interested students to continue strengthening their suturing skills while ensuring that all COVID protocols are thoroughly followed. Students will be using a Medarchitect suture kit that we annually provide for our members. The kit includes a silicone pad, curved mosquito forceps, Hecar needle holder, Adson forceps, surgical scissors, scalpel handle w/ blades, and a variety of suturing materials. Students will not be using a scalpel at any point during the workshop. A Sharp’s container will be present to collect disposed suturing needles. Additionally, I will ensure that a first aid kit is available in case any needle poke injuries occur. Dr. Falk is looking into getting pig's feet for the event but this is not finalized yet, so we will be planning on using the suturing pads. If pig's feet are available, we will have disposable placemats and disinfecting wipes to thoroughly clean the lab tables afterward. The event details are as follows: December 2nd from 5pm-7:30pm: Suturing clinic (Microbiology lab) led by Dr. Chludzinski with the assistance of Dr. Falk and additional faculty. Furthermore, here are the COVID protocols that I ensure are upheld at all ACOS events: 1.) We will have a full roster of every individual who has signed up for the clinic 2.) We will have a check-in for all members and staff who attend the suturing clinic 3.) We will require masks, and uphold social distancing of at least 6 feet 4.) We will sanitize before and after the suturing clinic and mentorship discussion to avoid the potential spread of COVID 5.) We will create a screening form for all members that sign up and require that they disclose any signs and symptoms, travel history, and close contact history prior to attending The educational purpose of this event is to continue to build upon the suturing techniques introduced to students so that they are well-versed in knowledge and skill for their surgery rotation.

Spanish Medical Club	09/27/2022	11/19/2022	Spanish Club will hold a Latin Zumba class at the local YMCA to incorporate more cultural awareness in LECOM's student body. We are limited to 25 students and are planning to charge $5 per person to cover costs and to fundraise for our club. We feel this event will provide a nice study break, as well as promote exercise and wellness. Please wear athletic clothing and proper footwear. COVID protocol - max 25 people (25% of full capacity), standing 6 feet apart for the duration of class.

The event will allow students to gain insight into some helpful tips. The event will be on November 17th from 7 PM – 8 PM. The MS3 students that have been selected are listed below. A google form will be provided ahead of time for students to submit any questions they want to ask the presenters. This will be a great event for students to gain some insight from peers that very recently went through the process.
	October 3, 2022 at 9:32 AM	Approved	Ortho Club Chipotle Fundraiser	SAOAO	10/03/2022	11/16/2022	This event will be a fundraiser for the orthopedics club (SAOAO) to acquire funding to allow the club to hold suturing and a casting clinic later in the year. The club will send out information about the fundraiser code that participants will provide to allow their purchases to go toward supporting the club. Participants will also be able to use the code for online orders as well. Chipotle has approved the fundraiser which will be held at the Peach street Chipotle. On Nov. 16th anyone who goes into chipotle and tells the staff that they are participating in the fundraiser their purchase will count toward the event. There is also a code that people wishing to participate can enter for online orders to show that they are part of the fundraiser. The Club is not allowed to be onsite or advertise at the location during the fundraiser time. In order to advertise this event we will send out an email with the time and date asking people to support the club. Chipotle has provided an email address to help with any questions (fundraisers@chipotle.com).
	October 21, 2022 at 10:06 PM	Expired	Sensitive Exam and Hospitalized Patient Skills Night Session	Simulation Club	10/21/2022	11/16/2022	Event Name: Sensitive Exam and Hospitalized Patient Skills Night Session When: Nov. 16 at 4:30pm to 7:00pm Where: LECOM Educational Center (formerly Porrecco Center) Total students: 16 students/hour Educational Goals: Perform sensitive skills and examinations in a safe and respectful learning environment Provide hands-on, practical experience with thoughtful clinician oversight Discuss and demonstrate basic interventions. Discuss basic and routine laboratory findings. Event Description: Part I: Dr. Sabirov and Dr. Coughlin will present a patient case using a high-fidelity training mannequin. The case presentation will include prompts for students to take part in diagnosing and managing a stable patient who will be requiring admission to the hospital. Students will participate in hands-on physical examination of the simulated patient, discuss findings, and order laboratory tests. Part II: Students will break off into groups of 4 and rotate through 4 task-trainer stations: a. Foley catheter insertion B. Lumbar puncture c. Prostate/gynecological task trainer d. Central line placement (Ultrasound guided) We would plan on two groups of 16 students: Group 1: 4:30pm-5:30pm Group 2: 5:45pm-6:45pm COVID Mitigation Plan: All students attest to the absence of symptoms and/or exposure to COVID-19 prior to the event via online submission. All LECOM precautions will remain in place including temperature screening, face masks, and proper hand-hygiene. All training equipment will be properly sanitized before and after each student.

This is an event loved by children and staff at the YMCA and is a big deal for the kids, one they look forward to all year! the gifts are given out by the volunteers who purchased them at our weekly volunteer sessions. We would like to offer 2.5 hours for total participation in the shopping for, organization of and participation in this event by the volunteers.
