As a club, we will select a few kid's designs to sell to the LECOM body! These designs will be included in the sticker "pack" that will also have some uplifting stickers as well. To better facilitate the management of the sale, we will send out a Google form to club members for purchase, so we can organize the finances & sticker pack pick-up as efficiently as possible. Attached below are the designs we were thinking of selling. The sticker design is one formed by the officers, while the coloring pages are the ones the kids will have a chance to design themselves.

February 21, 2023 at 10:43 AMApprovedBasic/Clinical Neuroscience Review NightsSOMA02/21/202303/20/2023SOMA students (primarily second-years) will lead review sessions to help guide first-year students on study strategies of high-yield topics for Basic and Clinical Neuroscience, especially neuroanatomy. These sessions have been requested by first-year students. As first-years work their way through the systems curriculum of Basic and Clinical Neuroscience, OMS2s will host short, virtual review nights of the material and high yield topics. SOMA students will coordinate review content with Dr. Kulesza for the specific aspects of neuroanatomy as well as other faculty members for other content areas that are covered. These reviews will be held over Zoom, which will allow for social distancing because of the virtual nature of the event and no in-person assembly is required. SOMA members will be notified of review nights and it's corresponding review material via email. Our goal in doing so is to help bridge the gap that OMS1's have had with transitioning into more difficult content and systems.
March 6, 2023 at 3:51 PMApproved"What I wish I knew going into MS2" with Jake KesielNeuropsych Club03/06/202303/20/2023The NeuroPsych Club would like to host Jake Kisiel, D.O. for an hour of answering questions and sharing his perspective on what he "wishes he knew going into M2" over Zoom. Jake is a LECOM grad class of 2022 and is currently a PGY-1 at Millcreek's Psychiatry residency program. At such a critical time point on our road to be osteopathic physicians, we believe Jake would be an invaluable resource for students deciding what to do over the Summer (as it fast approaches) and how to strategize to make M2 as successful as possible. Plus, being a fresh LECOM grad, Jake will have a better idea of what sort of opportunities exist at LECOM and Erie at large that can help maximize our next steps as M2s towards our future careers. Prior to the event we will open up a google document so students can pose questions for Jake to answer. Also, as part of our COVID mitigation strategy we will be hosting the event over Zoom.

This event will give members an opportunity to learn from an orthopedic surgeon how to properly cast. As a resident at Millcreek Hospital, Dr. Miller is well versed in casting and has previous experience working with medical students. Earlier that day he will be giving the LDP pathway a lecture in casting so this event will allow students to learn the material in the classroom and then directly implement that knowledge with a hands on event. Furthermore, here are the COVID protocols that I ensure are upheld at all ACOS events: 1.) We will have a full roster of every individual who attends the guest lecturer event 2.) We will require masks, and uphold social distancing of at least 6 feet 3.) We will create a screening form for all members that sign up and require that they disclose any signs and symptoms, travel history, and close contact history prior to attending The educational purpose of this event is to expose students to a critical skill that requires proficiency in a variety of different specialties.
