Mili Patel, OMS-III who received her training certification through Overdose Lifeline Inc., will be hosting the training over Zoom for clubs such as SSP, ACOS, SNMA, Internal Medicine, Pediatrics, Emergency Medicine and SOMA. The virtual nature of the event will help accommodate any potential COVID concerns that could arise during the Fall months. This event will certify students on the science behind this lifesaving drug and how to properly administer it which is a valuable skill to have in the growing opioid epidemic.

The organizers of the event are calling for as many volunteers as possible to help with "set-up, clean-up, registration, water stops, Promise Garden and so much more" for their upcoming event (Walk to End Alz website). I think this would be a great opportunity for the members of the NeuroPsych club to give back to the community and engage in a population of folks we are sure to encounter as future Neurologists/Psychiatrists. Also, as a LECOM health sponsored event it would be a pleasure to show our bright smiling faces to the people of Erie. The site coordinator and contact for the Walk to End Alz is as follows: Sr. Director of Development, Sara Giammarise \| 814-636-6390 \| sgiammarise@alz.org As far as COVID mitigation is concerned, this is an outdoor event and we will practice social distancing as much as possible. I will make sure the club provides hand sanitizer for at least our members if none is already available on-site.

Cultural clubs will be making various food dishes to share with the LECOM community to foster community and camaraderie while also helping educate about the many cultures our students come from! Participating clubs include International Medicine, Spanish Club, American Medical Muslim Student Association, Student National Medical Association, and Asian Pacific American Medical Student Association. We confirmed with Dupree that he is okay with individuals bringing in dishes and would be okay utilizing the Vora Lounge and attached the form he signed. We plan on having COVID precautions in place such as utilizing hand sanitizer and masking should it be needed. We also plan on making any allergen information regarding the dishes known to those who attend.

We are opening up assistance in preparation for the mock exam to SSP so that MS2s can gain volunteer hours for their time. The written component will take place in the Cadaver lab while the oral will be held in the study rooms 1-5. We will also be having a PBL mock practical at the same time happening in case room 117. The educational purpose of this event is to prepare MS1's for their anatomy practical. It will be performed exactly as the real practical to allow students to gauge their level of understanding of the material. The following COVID-19 protocol will be strictly followed (if mandated at the time of the event): 1.) We will have a full roster of every individual who has signed up for the clinic--both volunteers and attendees 2.) We will have a check-in for all members and staff who attend the mock practical 3.) We will require masks, and uphold social distancing of at least 6 feet 4.) We will sanitize before and after the exam to avoid the potential spread of COVID 5.) We will create a screening form for all members that sign up and require that they disclose any signs and symptoms, travel history, and close contact history prior to attending 7.) We will keep attendees in smaller groups by generating different start times for their exam

The money raised will be put toward snacks and refreshments for any future workshops or fun activities held by the club, meetings, and for giving out goodies for club fair day. Not only will it be a great way for the club to expand its funds, but it will be held in honor of celebrating Mexico’s Independence Day. When This Will Occur: We have reserved September 14th with Chipotle, from 4:00pm-8:00pm. Advertisement: A message will be sent out on behalf of the MSC to the MS1 and MS2 GroupMe chats, containing a short excerpt of the purpose of this fundraiser, the address, and time of occurrence about one week prior to the event. In addition, we are asking for Dr. Shabloski to send out a mass email containing the same information, in hopes to get the fundraiser more attention. Both forms of advertisement can be found on the next page of this document. Volunteers/Participants: The club is inviting everyone who attends or works at LECOM to join the celebration at Chipotle. Nevertheless, it is expected for approximately 15-40 students to partake in this fundraiser (hopefully more attend!). COVID Mitigation Plan: Since this will take place within Chipotle, the COVID mitigation plan is to abide by the restrictions Erie is currently implementing at the time of the fundraiser. If masks are not required at the time, then all attendees that are exhibiting any COVID-related symptoms are expected to wear a mask or to not participate for the health of everyone else. Education Purpose: To build camaraderie and foster an altruistic spirit amongst our classmates, while becoming educated on the needs of our local community. She will be sharing her journey throughout medical school, including in the classroom, rotations, and the surgery residency process. Educational purpose: the educational purpose of this event is to provide a first-hand perspective from a recent graduate who is able to closely relate to the ACOS members. This will be a fantastic opportunity to allow students to engage with Dr. Bennett and ask questions about how she approached her medical school career. This will provide students the opportunity to show pride in their school while staying warm. We plan to sell the jackets at a low profit to keep them affordable for all students and we plan to sell to all years and staff at LECOM. We plan on using the official LECOM logo as provided in the portal on the jacket. The Patagonia Jacket Fundraiser will help our club accumulate funds to use this coming school year on any events that we plan on hosting. This event will consist of volunteers sorting, packaging, and preparing grocery items. It is important for students to be involved in the community in several ways and this event will provide students with a new way to be involved. The event will take place on September 9, 2023 from 1:00pm - 3:30pm. All students will register as a volunteer through the food bank website and watch a short introduction video on the tasks they will be assigned during the event. Furthermore, here are the COVID protocols that I ensure are upheld at all ACOS events: 1.) We will have a full roster of every individual who has signed up for the event 2.) Dr. Pauline Phung would like to come to talk to EM club members about Emergency Medicine as a career and answer any questions students may have. Dr. Phung will present to us about the field of Emergency Medicine, followed by a short interactive activity for students to participate in. It will give our members the chance to interact with healthcare providers within the community and understand the skills that residents in these programs are learning. All equipment for the interactive activity will be provided by the St. Elizabeth Boardman Residency program. We anticipate an activity for intubation, bleeding control, splinting, etc. A sign-up sheet will be provided for students to participate, and masks will be worn to adhere to COVID Regulations. Our Club Advisor, Dr. Risavi, has approved of the event and will be in attendance. This event will be held on Friday September 8th at the Kearsarge Fire Department from 1800-2100.

Our supplier/company is DE Sports Inc. out of Clarion, PA. T shirts would reflect the design attached to this form. We would like to offer both a short and long sleeve t shirt in a standard Gildan cotton t shirt in grey and navy blue colors. We believe that our costing will range between $10 and $12 and we would sell them with a $5 markup to help generate funds for our convocation trip planned for March 2024. We expect that our costing will go down with an increase quantity of shirts ordered. Our executive board will coordinate t-shirt orders during our regularly scheduled forums. We will take orders in person and via email from our members, collect funds in form of check/cash prior to placing the order with the company, and then distribute the apparel at one of our biweekly forums. Only members of the SAAO would be able to purchase the club shirt.

The sale will be through Steeles Supply Company. The sale will be completed via an online link (https://www.steeles.com/products/lecom-soma-student-discount-order-form) where students can choose what they would like to buy, pay for the purchase online with credit or debit card. The order will be a bulk order, shipped to the school, and then dispersed to the students. The link, along with a description of the products, will be sent to students via email to let them know of the sale.

All review material will be made in conjunction with the respective faculty teaching the subject. These reviews will be virtual and held through either zoom or google meet. MS1 students will be alerted through email of the upcoming review nights.
	July 27, 2023 at 12:25 PM	Approved	Back-to-school donation drive for the MCRC	International Medical Society	07/27/2023	08/14/2023	Erie's Multicultural Resource Center (MCRC) is a non-profit organization that helps provide a variety of educational and social services including housing, employment programs, and other supplies to the to the Latino, refugee, immigrant, and New American populations in Erie. As IMS club is focused on promoting diversity as well as serving all kinds of communities, we find working along the MCRC to align with our club goals. The MCRC is currently in need of all sorts of school supplies (listed below) for their young adult and student populations returning for the new school year. We would collect donations from August 14th to August 20th via a donation box set up near the LECOM's security office. Then, deliver the items on August 21st to the MCRC center. We are hoping for each item to be worth 0.5 volunteer hours, with the max of 2 hours per person. We will be selling waterproof ‘survival bags’ which will contain items such as an emergency blanket, cold pack, whistle, bandages, flashlight, etc. This bag will make a nice gift for student’s family members to keep on hand for daily emergencies, it will also be great for students to keep in their cars to be better prepared for everyday life. Our club advisor, Dr. Risavi, is on board with the event and we will be using the updated and approved LECOM logo. Since this is an online sale, all correspondence will be done over email via a spreadsheet. We will do marketing via social media to promote the sale and masks will be worn on the day of distribution in concordance with the school’s COVID mitigation plan. The sale will take place from August 7th – September 7th 2023 over email. Each bag will cost 50 dollars and Distribution will occur in the Fall. We will use the Vora Lounge to distribute orders after all have been placed & fulfilled.
