We would like to give our members the opportunity to participate in a Suture Clinic hosted by Emergency Medicine Club and led by Dr. Risavi. This event will take place on Monday evening from 5:30–8:00pm and will focus on introducing students to basic suturing techniques, a fundamental skill in emergency medicine. Dr. Risavi will begin with a brief presentation discussing the importance of proper wound closure and wound care in the emergency department setting.

Following the presentation, students will have the opportunity to engage in a hands-on learning session where they will practice suturing on models designed to simulate human tissue. All suture kits and materials will be provided by the EM Club. This event is a great opportunity for members to gain early exposure to procedural skills they will encounter during clinical rotations, while working alongside peers in a low-pressure, educational environment.

A sign-up sheet will be made available for students to register, with a maximum of 25 participants. Students will adhere to current COVID regulations set by LECOM. Our Club Advisor, Dr. Risavi, has approved of the event and will be in attendance.
