The Emergency Medicine Club will be “adopting a family” through the Catholic Charities of Chemung County. The adopt a family program works in tandem with other local charities (e.g. Artic League/Operation Christmas Child) to provide supplies and gifts, especially warm clothes like hats and gloves, to families struggling financially or experiencing homelessness this holiday season. I plan to sign up for the drive on behalf of the club and post the family’s wishlist so that club members can volunteer to purchase items. Club members will give their donations to me and I will deliver them to their Elmira location by the deadline on December 9th.
