SOMA is putting together a food drive to support Second Harvest Food Bank. As the semester concludes, many students are packing up to move to rotation sites or cleaning out for the summer so we think this would be a great opportunity to support the local food bank! Students will be able to donate pantry and non-perishable items for volunteer hours for a maximum of 2 service hours (.5 hours for each item). This will be a contactless event and students will be able to drop off their items by the security office. This will allow students to follow COVID guidelines in place at that time.
At the end of the week, items will be picked up by SOMA board members Mia Tornel and Shreeman Nimmagadda. This event will be advertised to the Class of 2025 and 2026. At the conclusion of the event, items will be delivered to Second Harvest Food Bank of Northwestern Pennsylvania.
