Many students (myself included) do not know how to create an advanced directive, carry one out, or even what one is. This remote presentation (via Zoom) from Amy Ventry, MSW and Social Service Coordinator at Lakeland Area Hospice, will guide us through what an advanced directive is and how to write one for ourselves, and how to carry out one for our future patients. With COVID becoming increasingly present in our world and with younger people being severely affected, it is important that young adults have advanced directives in place. While we hope to never need to use advanced directives, it is still crucial that we have our wishes be known in the event of being unable to make these decisions. Amy will give a 45 minute remote presentation about advanced directives, and then will open the floor for questions about advanced directives and her presentation.
