The Health Disparities Task Force of LECOM SOMA will be hosting an Intercultural Awareness Training. This event will be geared toward students wishing to learn more about how to be culturally aware, and able to serve and effectively communicate with various populations as a doctor. Students will engage in thought-provoking activities, will learn about the populations that they will be serving, and have the opportunity for questions and discussion in a safe environment. We hope this training session provides a foundation and framework for students to begin their journeys in developing their understanding of diversity, inclusion, and cross-cultural appreciation.
