Tickets will be sold for between $35 and $45 to raise funds for this charity and to cover costs of the event. Our goal is to donate $1,500 dollars to Make-a-Wish to help make a child’s wish come true. In addition to ticket sales, we will be running a food drive to benefit the Second Harvest Food Bank in Erie. Students who bring in canned goods to donate will be given a discount on the ticket price for the event. This event will be closely regulated by Dr. Shabloski. Dr. Shabloski and I will have meetings every two weeks to ensure that the event adheres to LECOM's policies and expectations. This will be a dry event. The theme will be a simple color scheme of gold, and all decorations will be approved by Dr. Shabloski before purchase. The event will be held at the Courtyard by Marriott Erie Ambassador Conference Center from 7-11pm. There will be a formal dinner followed by dancing. All planning of this event will be geared towards representing LECOM in the best possible manner. The 2023 class council and I hope to make this an event that will benefit a great organization and that will make LECOM proud.

November 12, 2019 at 11:13 AMExpiredChildren's Miracle Network Hospital Video Game Tournament FundraiserPediatrics Club11/12/201912/06/2019This is a combined event with LECOM Internal Medicine and Mentoring Clubs. A video game tournament fundraiser will be held to raise money for the local Children's Miracle Network Hospital (St.Vincent's). Children's Miracle Network Hospital is an organization that fund critical treatments and healthcare services, pediatric medical equipment and charitable care. This is only open to the students. During this tournament, the students will be playing two "E" rated games. Every participant will be able to write a Christmas letter to a child at the hospital and sign up for a free miracle band that will help spread the message that local children’s hospitals rely on everybody’s supports.

October 14, 2019 at 8:20 AMApprovedTeddy Bear ClinicSOMA10/14/201911/30/2019AHN Saint Vincent Hospital ask SOMA each year to provide volunteers for the 35th annual Festival of Trees event (November 30- December 1st, 2019), an event that benefits the hospital and Children’s Miracle Network. It takes over 200 volunteers to make this event possible. Students will help the kids with crafts, pass out cookies, help with Santa- there are a variety of times and opportunities; but most importantly, students will provide free "health checks" and "treatments" for the children's teddy bears.
