The event will be held on campus back by the softball fields, weather pending. In the event of inclement weather, we will reschedule the event. Each club will have a table and will be required to have board members present to give information about how to get involved and to answer questions regarding their clubs.The tables for each club will be rented from Crazy Monkey here in Erie.The cost is $7 per table x 25 tables = $175. We are also hoping to have pizza from Virgil's Plate, estimated $28 per 24 cut pizza x 10 pizzas = $280, and water which we will buy in bulk from Sam's club, estimated $10 per 80 pack of water bottles X 4 = $40. The funding from both of these will come from our SGA funding. We are also requesting garbage bins or a dumpster for any waste from the food to be disposed of, if LECOM is able to provide these. We hope this event can allow everyone to get information about the clubs and begin pursuing their interests early in the semester! Set-up: SGA board members will facilitate delivery and pick-up of tables and food. Board members for each club will be present and responsible for setting up their club table and decorating however they would like. Clean-up: SGA board and club board members will assist with clean up of tables and any garbage left behind. Safety Measures: Vaccinated individuals can attend mask free given that the event is outdoors; unvaccinated will wear a mask and follow social distancing protocol. Security officer will be present for entire time.

The welcome back party will give incoming MS1 students the opportunity to meet the faculty and MS2. For the MS2, it will provide an opportunity to catch up with peers and faculty. Invitations: Google form invitations will be sent out to MS1, MS2, and faculty via email. SGA board will also email invitations to faculty. Google form will serve as RSVP. Set Up: SGA Board (Khin Oo, Tyler Dobratz, Abhay Dhillon, Ananya Koka, Anthony DiCecca, Serene Bahi, and William Kim) will be at the softball field by 3:15 PM to set up. The food truck will arrive at 3:30 PM. Tables, chairs, and games from the rental company will arrive at 3:30 PM. Both have been given directions and the location of the softball field. Food & Beverages: We would like to support the local Erie businesses and will have Spanglish food truck on site. They will park in the parking lot close to the softball field. They will be there from 3:30 pm – 7:30 pm. We will be giving out meal vouchers that can be used to get food at the truck. SGA will send out an RSVP to students and faculty where they can RSVP to receive Meal Vouchers that can be used at the food truck. The meal voucher will allow guests to have 1 empanada or vegetarian fiesta bowl. Other food that guests purchase will be out of pocket. There will be a sign-in table by the entryway of the softball field where we will keep track of attendees and give out meal vouchers. We have planned to have 160 empanada vouchers and 40 vegetarian fiesta bowl vouchers. - Link to food truck menu: https://www.facebook.com/spanglishtruck. - From SAMs Club, we will buy water, soda cans, single-serving chip bags, and single-serving ice cream. We will be there to make sure the rental equipment is picked up and make sure the food truck leaves the premises on time. Rain Date: Food truck and rentals have been confirmed for the next day, Sunday, July 31st if necessary.

There are other events that are planned for that week that Nevin told me he sent in a request for. The event would start around 530 and end by 7pm. The main goal of this event is to have a fun event where MS1s and MS2s can interact. I already emailed Brian King and he mentioned that the field is available to use as long as it gets approved. As far as Covid protocol, because the entirety of the event is outside there should be no need for any masking or social distancing.

After hearing him talk at SOMA's Summer Leadership Meeting (SLM) in Chicago in July, I have invited Dr. Kevin Klauer, CEO of the AOA, to come speak to our campus on Mentorship in Medicine. Dr. Klauer is a board certified EM Physician who has held many leadership positions with various medical organizations (ACEP, ACOEP, AOA). He has earned numerous awards for his mentorship and leadership, including the 2018 ACOEP Educator of the Year award. Dr. Klauer knows what it is like to be a physician, friend, and mentor, and he shares his experiences so well with students. As part of a panel at SOMA's SLM, Dr. Klauer emphasized the importance of the Mentor-Mentee relationship in medical school as well as while practicing medicine. This talk will be given immediately prior to the Big training session to kick off the Big/Little program for the year. As of now, we are requesting to have this be an in person talk in Lecture Hall D, and will be open to any first or second year student who wants to attend. We will require masks and practice appropriate social distancing. If the COVID climate changes and we need to switch our event to Zoom, we are willing to do so to accommodate the safety of all attendees.
	February 9, 2022 at 7:54 PM	Rejected	Suturing Clinic	ACOS-MSS	02/09/2022	03/18/2022	ACOS-MSS would like to provide the opportunity for the maximum amount of interested students to learn the basics of suturing while ensuring that all COVID protocols are thoroughly followed. To achieve this, we would be holding two small group clinic sessions over the course of two separate dates rather than one large event. Each session will last three hours, and members may only sign up for one slot. By doing so, it will not only drastically limit the amount of potential contact between attendees but also minimize exposure time and always allow for ample social distancing. Dr. Jung will be facilitating this event with the rotating assistance of Dr. Coughlin and Dr. Risavi (other attendings will also be notified to maximize efficiency). During these small group clinic events, the following guidelines will be strictly followed: 1.) We will have a full roster of every individual who has signed up for the clinic 2.) We will have a check-in for all members and staff who attend the suturing clinic 3.) We will require masks, and uphold social distancing of at least 6 feet 4.) We will sanitize before and after the suturing clinic to avoid the potential spread of COVID 5.) We will create a screening form for all members that sign up and require that they disclose any signs and symptoms, travel history, and close contact history prior to attending 6.) Unvaccinated individuals will be allowed to attend, but they will be placed at a separate table, again maintaining at least 6 feet for proper social distancing. 7.) We will cap each session at 50 individuals to mitigate the potential spread of COVID *Our casting clinic permitted 50 individuals and was approved on November 18th, 2021. The event ran smoothly and no issues ensued.
	February 25, 2022 at 12:24 PM	Rejected	Lecom Class of 2025 Night at the Seawolves	Class of 2025	02/25/2022	05/06/2022	I am working with the Erie Seawolves to get 60 tickets for the May 6th game starting at 6:05. Each student would purchase a ticket for $12. An excel sheet will be monitored for all students that will be in attendance to maintain contract tracing. Additionally, students will have the option to bring their significant other as well but will be required to give the name and phone number of the additional person at the time of purchase in order to maintain contact tracing. Since the venue is entirely outside, masking would not be needed. If a student comes into contact with a positive case, we will utilize the excel sheet to monitor any potential outbreak. The overall price would be: 60 tickets—> $2,160 The price of the ticket will include: (pasted from Erie Seawolves website) Game tickets with reserved Bud Light Party Deck seating -- a combination of swivel mesh seats and high-top bar stools. An All-You-Can-Eat meal package featuring Smith's hot dogs and Italian sausages, hamburgers, Pepsi fountain drinks, peanuts and popcorn. Up to two (2) domestic draft beers per adult over 21, must show ID at venue. All items delivered to your seats by your game day server (limit contact via no buffet) The deck is open for 1.5 hours, 30 mins before the game and ending one hour after the start of the game. This event is open to the Class of 2025 in celebration of almost finishing their first year of medical school.

Our plan is to have a group of students offer tutoring during school or after hours for high school level Spanish class students at the local Erie High School. We have been approved by the principal, Dr. Gary Magorien, along with the high school teachers that will be involved with our students. This will set the foundation for medical Spanish later this summer for LECOM students, as well as improve high school student performance in their Spanish courses.
	March 23, 2022 at 12:10 PM	Rejected	Weight Stigma and Mental Health	Mental Health Task Force	03/23/2022	04/13/2021	This will be a MHTF-guided discussion on the impact of weight stigma on mental health and health outcomes. We will discuss how weight stigma in medicine has affected our relationship with medical practitioners and could affect our future patients. Using examples from medical and public health literature, we’ll examine our view of obesity as an epidemic and as a measure of mortality risk, and how that has influenced medical perspectives on weight. We will also discuss the genetic and socioeconomic components of weight, and how those might be barriers to thinness. Finally, we will also brainstorm together how we, as future physicians, can help address weight stigma in our practice, such as asking permission to discuss weight and trusting patients to know their own bodies. Those who participate actively will get a $10 gift card, as this event will be in lieu of the monthly breakfast.

In an effort to support the people of Ukraine, the WHC e-board members will lead a workout for LECOM students at the Wellness Center parking lot on Saturday, April 30th at 11am. The event will be advertised as "Ukraine Strong". WHC board members will coordinate a body-pump exercise circuit to music, and lead participants through the workout for 45 minutes. Each participant will be asked to donate $10, and all proceeds will be given to 'Doctor's Without Boarders' in LECOM's name. This organization provides medical relief and responds quickly to crises around the globe, currently including Ukraine, Haiti, and Yemen. Although they cannot earmark donations for a specific location, we can choose to earmark ours for "Emergency Relief", helping those in dire need. A spreadsheet will be sent to the student body to 'sign up' for the event so we account for how many people will be attending. Money will be collected via cash on the day of the event. We think this will be a great way for WHC to bring together the LECOM community for a healthy study break and to support the health of women and children around the globe.

General SSP updates will also be reviewed at the meeting.
	August 9, 2022 at 5:53 PM	Rejected	Volunteering at the Community Blood Bank	Class of 2025	08/09/2022	09/13/2022	The Community Blood Bank in Erie is starting a new volunteer program in hopes of generating more follow up donations with the help their volunteers. After donating blood, the donors are sent to the refreshment area of the center or drive so that they can relax for 10 minutes and have a snack. Once the donor is done with their snacks, there are no other interactions with staff, and they leave. There is a very small chance they come back and donate again in 56 days which is the reason why the volunteer program was started. The community blood bank felt that the final step of the donation process was lacking and thought having volunteers greet donors in the refreshment area could greatly impact the donation process. The role of the volunteer will be to thank the donor for their donation, get feedback from the donor, and most important, ask the donor to schedule a follow up donation. A volunteer at the last part of the donation could make a huge difference in getting donors to return for another donation. Asking for a follow-up donation is the most crucial item, because more consistent donors mean a better blood supply. Students will be able to sign up for shifts well in advance and will receive volunteer hours for their participation. Every hour spent volunteering will count towards one volunteer hour. Depending on the blood bank's COVID Mask Rule, masks may be required for anyone volunteering on site.

Thus with the money we have remaining in our account we would like to to a photo Mosaic at our graduation this May, in which students submit photos and they are placed in a large digital Mosiac in the shape of "Class of 2022." We can subsequently takes photos by this mosaic and we can also distribute it as a gift to each member of our class. We will also be doing random squares of the mosaic that are associated with a prize (gift cards for scrubs).

We will be working with Medical Students for Choice and Women’s Health and Medical Society, and the event will take place via Zoom or other online video platform on September 7th from 6-7:30pm. The event will consist of several discussions with student facilitators who will be provided a set of questions to guide the conversations. We will also have guidelines in place to ensure safe, respectful conversations among peers. Our advisor will be present at the meeting.

As requested by Dr. Ferretti, we will be having a mandatory training for anyone who was selected as a Big for SOMA's Big/Little program. We will have Dr. Kevin Klauer give a talk for the first hour (a separate event request has been submitted for this!), and then we will take the second hour (this event request) to cover the overview of the Big program. We will be instructing Bigs on what to do and what not to do, what advice to share with their littles, and what topics to avoid as they are out of our scope as Bigs. The agenda for the meeting will be developed with Dr. Lee, who will be in attendance for the training to ensure we have appropriate faculty oversight. We feel this is an important event to have in person, which is why we have requested reserving Lecture Hall D. We will require all attendees to wear masks, and will practice appropriate social distancing, and follow all other COVID protocols. Attendance will be taken, and a post-event recap will be sent to Dr. Shabloski when the event is complete.
