	September 1, 2020 at 2:06 PM	Approved	American Cancer Society #GoldTogether Champion Campaign	Oncology Club	09/01/2020	09/01/2020	The American Cancer Society is hosting a virtual "Relay for Life" - type event for awareness and fundraising for pediatric cancer. #GoldTogether Champions will virtually unite to make a greater impact and secure better outcomes for kids with cancer. The event lasts throughout the month of September, coinciding with Childhood Cancer Awareness Month. Every Tuesday, there are fun/interactive social media challenges to raise awareness for the cause, as well as encourage followers to donate to our LECOM Oncology team. All proceeds will directly benefit pediatric cancer causes (including childhood cancer research and physician education). The LECOM Oncology club is asking permission to create a LECOM team and raise money for a great cause!
	September 1, 2020 at 9:18 AM	Approved	Stop the Bleed	Emergency Medicine	09/01/2020	09/28/2020	Instructor: Dr. Risavi The LECOM Emergency Medicine Club is requesting to host a course (over Zoom) on Stop the Bleed where Dr. Risavi will cover basic techniques used to control bleeding emergency situation and briefly discuss the mechanisms of clot formation. Course will be open to all club members who may attend remotely via Zoom.

Oncology Club	08/29/2020	09/08/2020	Oncology Club will be taking orders for Breast Cancer Awareness Pins prior to Breast Cancer Awareness Month (October), then distributing pins contactlessly by mail. We will begin taking orders as soon as approval is granted until mid-September. We will then order pins, and distribute them by mail once shipped. The pins will be sold for $5 each, with an expected profit of 30 cents per pin for Oncology Club. We do not expect to gain much money from this; the point is raising awareness. As such, we will include a small breast cancer fact/prevention/screening sheet with each pin in the package.
	August 27, 2020 at 9:40 PM	Approved	SOMA MS1 Virtual Anatomy Review Night	SOMA	08/27/2020	09/14/2020	The MS1 students have their second set of anatomy exams on September 17-18, 2020, for thorax, abdominal cavity, and pelvis. SOMA members who are MS2s will host a virtual anatomy review night that will encompass all three of these cavities. The event will be hosted virtually through zoom or Microsoft teams and will have small groups of students placed into breakout rooms. MS2 students will rotate through the breakout rooms to present and answer questions on their specific topics, including identification of anatomical structures, blood supply, innervation, and lymphatic for each cavity. MS2 students will receive their topic and materials from the SOMA E-Board prior to the event so they can review and practice what they will say. This event will be held only virtually via zoom or Microsoft teams. The event will be advertised to MS1 students through email and facebook group posts.

SOMA will extend the mentoring capacity of the MS1/MS2 Big/Little program to students on the Elmira campus. The MS1/MS2 Big/Little Program is an opportunity for MS1 students to receive guidance and mentorship from the MS2 students. MS1 students are matched with an MS2 mentor to help them throughout the school year. SOMA sends monthly check-ins with bigs and littles to assess how the program is going and to make improvements throughout the year. Contact between Bigs and Littles will be permitted only through Zoom, Skype, Facetime, phone calls, and E-mail. There will be no in-person interaction between Bigs and Littles.

Each MS1 will just join 1 of 60 unique google meeting links and the MS2 responsible for that link will ask them a set of oral questions. Next, they will give them quick feedback. Dr. Kulesza has okayed the set up and supplied the questions for everything. Dr. Jung is also aware of the event.
