These sessions are requested by the MMS students. As MMS students work through Spring semester, SOMA students who are OMS1s/OMS2s will host a short, virtual review of the material and high yield topics. SOMA students will coordinate review content with the faculty teaching the subject (i.e. Anatomy and Dr. Kulesza). This virtual review will allow MMS students to focus their studies over the weekend for their tests on the following Mondays. These reviews will be virtual and held through through zoom. MMS students will be alerted through email and their Facebook group. This event will be completely virtual, and will follow all social distancing because of the virtual nature of the event, with no in-person assembly required.

In addition, we hope to apply the Class of 2025's available budget of $5,000 alongside a supplemental $2,000 from SGA for a total of $7,000 towards the group discount purchase. To receive the institutional discount, SGA will gather funds from the students directly and complete a purchase order. This will be done via PNC's Zelle deposits directly to the SGA account or check. Details of UWorld's PO requirements and banking information are attached. UWorld Contact: Megan Chaney mchaney@uworld.com COM1 180-days Retail: $459 Discount: $50 Institutional rate: $409 Current student sign-up list: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1f0SXTrIyR7QR2rpmaC3D44rp_miSD06wrbu1rfdtFYw/edit?usp=sharing With our current sign-up of 142 people, we will make a maximum of 150 code slots available. Each student will be asked to pay a rate of $362 [(409*150) - 7000) / 150]. Once funds are gathered, SGA will purchase the exact number of codes that have been paid for. If all the slots are not taken, some of the SGA funds will be unused since students are already paying a higher rate. This process will avoid overdrafting our funds. I thank the administration for their generosity in helping our students attain studying resources that are almost essential for board studying.

November 23, 2022 at 9:59 AMRejectedHoliday Card Drive for LECOM's SLCSOMA11/23/202212/05/2022*This is the same event that was submitted originally on November 1st, but was Rejected by Dr. Thomas. We have included the information he requested prior to resubmission.* Proposed dates: Monday December 5th through Friday December 9th Idea: SOMA will be putting together a Christmas Card Drive. Cards will be made by students to bring joy to residents, so these cards will include writing from students. Students will make or fill out cards to be distributed to SLC Residents. This will be a contactless event, and we propose having collection boxes near the security doors. Students will be able to leave their cards for collection. Cards will be picked up at the end of the drive by Paarth Sharma or Co-Chair Smaran Teru. We will advertise this event to the entire Class of 2025 and class of 2026, so they are able to participate. Cards should be dropped off at the security office or at Colleen's desk on the second floor. This will be done in a contact-free manner. As has been done in other clubs, service hours will be provided with 3 cards = 1 hour of service. Cards will be dropped off at the LECOM Living Center - coordinated with Emily Carver - ecarver@lecomslc.org. Why: SOMA wants to create a COVID-safe opportunity for students to get involved in the Erie community. Having this card drive creates an event that allows LECOM students to reach out and be involved with the school and community. As this event has been very successful in the past, and Dr. Silvia Ferretti commented on what a nice event it was last year when we had the cards at Colleen’s desk, we really would like the opportunity to have it again. Here is the request for the drive that was approved last year: Idea: SOMA will be putting together a Holiday Card drive. This will be a contactless event, and we propose having collection boxes at the entrance to Main Campus. Students will be able to leave the cards for collection. Items will be picked up at the end of the drive by myself (Ellie Schommer) or Co-Chair Garrett Kettle. We will advertise this event to the entire Class of 2024 and class of 2025 so they are able to participate. At the conclusion of the drive, I will arrange a date and time to drop off the supplies to St. Mary’s Senior Living Center. This will be done in a contact-free manner. Why: SOMA wants to create a COVID-safe opportunity for students to get involved in the Erie community. Having this drive creates an event for LECOM students to reach out and be involved with the Erie community. Proposed dates: Monday November 29 – Friday December 3 Alternate dates: Monday December 6 – Friday December 10 Here is the request for the same drive that was approved in the Spring for Saint Patrick’s Day: Proposed dates: Monday March 7th through March 11th Alternate dates: Monday March 14th through Wednesday March 16th Idea: SOMA will be putting together a St. Patrick’s Card Drive. WHO: YogaErie Instructors and LECOM students WHAT: A 60 minute yoga class; $10/ student. All funds will go to Lydia's Love Moments to raise money for children at Ronald McDonald's House. WHERE: LECOM Wellness Center Gymnasium. All yogies will be positioned 6 feet apart and be instructed to bring their own mat or towel. All students will check in and sign a liability waiver if not a member already prior to class beginning, wearing a mask. Once on the mat and ready to start class 6 feet apart, they will be allowed to remove their mask for the duration of the workout. Once class is over, masks will be put back on promptly. WHEN: Saturday, December 3 at 9:30-10:30am WHY: As DO medical students, we know how important it is to exercise and keep our hearts healthy. While raising money for children in need of healthcare, we thought this would be a great way to get actively involved in our fundraiser while also benefitting our student body. Yoga Erie has graciously offered us a class and we feel it would form a great relationship between YogaErie and LECOM while helping support a beautiful cause. We feel that hosting an event at our own location would be easy and convenient for LECOM students, and a great way to utilize our facilities. If there is an issue with hosting at lecom wellness center, we will look into having the event at YogaErie's studio. Thank you!

Emily Rose Photography is a company that provides a photoshoot session of newborn babies that are undergoing treatment at the hospital who may not survive much longer. The Women's Health Club is excited to donate money to Lydia's Love Moments who then donates to these charities. In addition to the Chinese Auction, we will host Kim Ghirardi, the founder of Lydia's Love Moments, on November 14th 2022 on Zoom to invite club members to hear from Kim about how and why she started this organization and why she aspires to continue giving back to the organizations that impacted her life. October 25, 2022 at 12:29 PMExpiredErie Oncology Wellness Center - Wig & Beauty Salon Item DriveOncology Club10/25/202211/07/2022The Erie Oncology Wellness Center is an independent non-profit devoted to helping patients undergoing radiation and/or chemotherapy. One aspect of their care is a Wig & Beauty Salon. They have plenty of wonderful wigs, but lack in the 'beauty' side of make-up and skin care patients. We are planning on gathering supplies to help these oncology patients dealing with hair and skin problems. As for the products gathered, I have this baseline from the clinic: "It seems that the makeup line that would be best is NYX. They are vegan-free and priced fair compared to some of the other brands. For lotions and such, Neutrogena is recommended. Both brands are sold at Ulta. The products we would like to have on hand are face soap/cleaners, face lotion, foundation, powder, blush, eye shadows, eye liners, brow pencils or temp tattoos, lip balms/sticks. Because we have women of all colors, a variety would be great. We don’t expect you to get everything, but any donation of these products would be most helpful as we stock the ‘beauty’ portion of our Wig & Beauty Salon. We are most appreciative of your willingness to help. We would be happy to provide a tax receipt to you if you give us a value on what you’ve donated since we are a non-profit." The drive would run from November 7th to November 14th. Every item donated will count as 0.5 hours for a maximum of 3 hours (as per previous events).
