This will provide students the opportunity to show pride in their school while staying warm. We plan to sell the jackets at a low profit to keep them affordable for all students and we plan to sell to all years and staff at LECOM. We plan on using the official LECOM logo as provided in the portal on the jacket. The Patagonia Jacket Fundraiser will help our club accumulate funds to use this coming school year on any events that we plan on hosting. 	August 5, 2023 at 2:36 PM	Approved	Weekly Mentoring Club Volunteering	Mentoring	08/05/2023	10/05/2023	After a small hiatus due to the Kids Club being temporally closed, Mentoring Club is officially been greenlit by the YMCA to return to the Kids Club at Erie Heights/Gardenview from September 5th onward! We are formally submitting our annual request to resume weekly volunteering with the kids on Thursdays from 5:30-6:30, starting October 5th. One adult staff member from the YMCA (usually 2-3 are present on a regular basis) will be present at every meeting to be in control and take responsibility for the program and children. The purpose of the presence of the LECOM students once a week at the Kids Club is to help mentor and facilitate personal growth in the children of the program. We intend on continuing our weekly activities of fun & games while also maintaining a positive atmosphere for everyone to feel safe & welcomed by those from LECOM. 	July 27, 2023 at 12:25 PM	Approved	Back-to-school donation drive for the MCRC	International Medical Society	07/27/2023	08/14/2023	Erie's Multicultural Resource Center (MCRC) is a non-profit organization that helps provide a variety of educational and social services including housing, employment programs, and other supplies to the to the Latino, refugee, immigrant, and New American populations in Erie. As IMS club is focused on promoting diversity as well as serving all kinds of communities, we find working along the MCRC to align with our club goals. The MCRC is currently in need of all sorts of school supplies (listed below) for their young adult and student populations returning for the new school year. We would collect donations from August 14th to August 20th via a donation box set up near the LECOM's security office. Then, deliver the items on August 21st to the MCRC center. We are hoping for each item to be worth 0.5 volunteer hours, with the max of 2 hours per person. 	July 26, 2023 at 1:56 PM	Expired	MS1 Anatomy Exam 1 Mock Practical	ACOS-MSS	07/26/2023	08/19/2023	ACOS will be working alongside Dr. Kulesza in setting up a mock practical, with both a written and oral component for all MS1s to help prepare for their first exam. We are opening up assistance in preparation for the mock exam to SSP so that MS2s can gain volunteer hours for their time. The written component will take place in the Cadaver lab while the oral will be held in the cafeteria. We will also be having a PBL mock practical at the same time happening in Lecture Hall C. The educational purpose of this event is to prepare MS1's for their first anatomy practical. It will be performed exactly as the real practical to allow students to gauge their level of understanding of the material. The following COVID-19 protocol will be strictly followed (if mandated at the time of the event): 1.) We will have a full roster of every individual who has signed up for the clinic--both volunteers and attendees 2.) We will have a check-in for all members and staff who attend the mock practical 3.) We will require masks, and uphold social distancing of at least 6 feet 4.) We will sanitize before and after the exam to avoid the potential spread of COVID 5.) We will create a screening form for all members that sign up and require that they disclose any signs and symptoms, travel history, and close contact history prior to attending 7.) We will keep attendees in smaller groups by generating different start times for their exam

This event would be through Adopt A Beach which is an organization through Pennsylvania that does monthly beach clean ups. They have specific days and beaches they clean, but for groups that cannot make those dates, they allow them to pick up supplies and assign them a beach. There will be a sign-up sheet and I will pick up the necessary supplies prior to the event (trash bags, gloves etc.). They will also assign us a specific beach (6, 8, 10 or 11) based on their needs at that time. We would like to do two clean up days this semester - September 30th and October 21st from 9am-11am. This event would provide students with an opportunity to give back to their community and help keep our beaches clean. Our counterparts in Elmira recently had a similar event which was a success, and we are hoping to continue to give back here in Erie. These hours will also count towards touch point hours, LECOM hours and SSP hours. Our hope is that we can establish a relationship with Adopt A Beach and continue these events in the spring as well. The educational purpose of this event is to continue to build connections within the community and to give back to Erie. Furthermore, here are the COVID protocols that I ensure are upheld at all ACOS events: 1.) We will have a full roster of every individual who has signed up for the event 2.) This event will consist of volunteers sorting, packaging, and preparing grocery items. It is important for students to be involved in the community in several ways and this event will provide students with a new way to be involved. The event will take place on September 9, 2023 from 1:00pm - 3:30pm. All students will register as a volunteer through the food bank website and watch a short introduction video on the tasks they will be assigned during the event. Furthermore, here are the COVID protocols that I ensure are upheld at all ACOS events: 1.) We will have a full roster of every individual who has signed up for the event 2.) We plan to have the table present on August 5th during the student expo and offer free raffle ticket chances to new members during club/activity sign-up. We hope that the table will incentivize new students to sign up and join SAAO and come to our first open forum the following Tuesday night. We also plan to sell tickets to existing members of SAAO-Erie at various price options 1 ticket for $1.00, 3 tickets for $5.00, and an arm's length of tickets (12) for $10.00. Paper raffle tickets with printed numbers will be used and cash/check will be accepted with all transactions being logged via our treasurer in a Microsoft Excel sheet. The drawing will take place on August 15th.

Tried submitting event request end of June and beginning of July but LECOM SGA form website was not working on LECOM anesthesiology account. Note: COVID mitigation plan- food will be handled by chipotle, Erie county current cases of COVID-19 are low.

We plan to host a Lemonade Stand at the Club Fair, promoting not only our club but ALSF and their volunteer opportunities that are available for the students. Our President, James Nordstrom had been in contact with the SGA president and had gotten approval to put our table outside of the Wellness Center. We will be selling our Lemonade for $2 with all proceeds going directly to ALSF. To prevent spills/excessive trash, we can give the drinks to students that are leaving the Wellness Center rather than entering in. We will have napkins, wipes, garbage bags for cleaning up any spills and having a place for all the trash. The entire team will be present during the Club Fair and will be helping out distributing the drinks.

These sessions are requested by the MMS students. As MMS students work through Fall semester, SOMA students who are OMS1s/OMS2s will host a short, virtual review of the material and high yield topics. SOMA students will coordinate review content with the faculty teaching the subject (i.e. Anatomy and Dr. Kulesza). This virtual review will allow MMS students to focus their studies over the weekend for their tests on the following Mondays. These reviews will be virtual and held through through zoom. MMS students will be alerted through email and their Facebook group. This event will be completely virtual, and will follow all social distancing because of the virtual nature of the event, with no in-person assembly required.

The sale will be through Steeles Supply Company. The sale will be completed via an online link (https://www.steeles.com/products/lecom-soma-student-discount-order-form) where students can choose what they would like to buy, pay for the purchase online with credit or debit card. The order will be a bulk order, shipped to the school, and then dispersed to the students. The link, along with a description of the products, will be sent to students via email to let them know of the sale.

	June 12, 2023 at 2:00 PM	Expired	Anki Clinic	LECOM Med Erie - SGA	06/12/2023	07/20/2023	Purpose: Anki is flashcard service that many utilize during medical school. The flashcard service is free to use and utilizes a technique called spaced repetition to help students learn and reinforce material. Despite flashcards being common in undergraduate, Anki is not heavily utilized until medical school. The purpose of this clinic is to teach any student the basic ins and outs of the flashcard service. I believe this will be an invaluable resource because many students may try using Anki when medical school starts; however, it takes time to actually learn how the system works. By giving them a preface on how to use the system, it means less of their time will be used on learning the system when the semester started. To lead this clinic, I have contacted Sam Wlasowicz a current OMS-IV. He won the Mr. Anki award 3 years ago, and has already led an Anki Clinic before with some success. I have already talked with him about what I would like him to focus on: basic use of Anki, different styles of Anki (cloze function vs. image occlusion vs. simple flashcards), etc. Funding: None Needed Timeline: I have already contacted Sam several times to ensure he has everything he needs, but I will contact him a week before the event to sure everything is okay. On the day of the event, I will start the Zoom meeting at 6:45 PM and the event will start promptly at 7:00. The clinic should take no longer than an hour to an hour and a half. No clean-up time is needed as the event is over Zoom.

She will be sharing her journey throughout medical school, including in the classroom, rotations, and the surgery residency process. There will also be a Q&A portion of the event at the end of the talk. Educational purpose: the educational purpose of this event is to provide a first-hand perspective from a recent graduate who is able to closely relate to the ACOS members. This will be a fantastic opportunity to allow students to engage with Dr. Bennett and ask questions about how she approached her medical school career. COVID mitigation protocols: this meeting will be held on zoom.

It aims to foster a vibrant and engaged community by bringing together various student-run clubs and organizations dedicated to different medical specialties, research areas, volunteer initiatives, and professional development. The purpose of the club fair is to provide students with a comprehensive overview of the diverse avenues available to them beyond the classroom, allowing them to connect with like-minded peers, gain valuable hands-on experience, and further their personal and professional growth. This event facilitates networking, collaboration, and the exchange of ideas, enabling students to discover new interests, strengthen their skills, and contribute meaningfully to the medical community. By attending the club fair, students can make informed choices about their extracurricular involvement, fostering a well-rounded education that complements their medical studies and nurtures their individual interests and aspirations. Funding: SGA will use their own funds. Timeline: The setup will begin at 6:00 pm on August 4th, with tables and chairs being brought into the gym and hallway. Clubs will each set up their own individual tables in a circular formation. The setup will end at 8:00 pm on the same day. On August 5th at 9:00 am, clubs will come in to do one last check-in before students arrive at 9:30 am. During 9:30 am to 12:30 pm, students will filter in to visit the various clubs based on their interests. From 12:30 pm to 1:30 pm, clubs will remove their equipment, and SGA will pack up the tables and chairs.
