January 27, 2026 at 6:01 PMApprovedCasting & Splinting ClinicACOS-MSS01/27/202602/27/2026LECOM surgery club is excited to put on a casting clinic and splinting with Dr. Anthony Ferretti and assistants. This event will give members an opportunity to learn from an orthopedic surgeon how to properly cast. It will additionally provide the unique opportunity for students to interact with and learn from residents. The event will also be extended to the orthopedics club as it is an important skill for them to develop. Earlier that day, Dr Shawn Storm will be giving the LDP pathway a lecture in casting. This event will allow students to learn the material in the classroom and then directly apply that knowledge with a hands on event. The anticipated event will be held on February 27th from 5pm-7pm in the OPP Lab. Our advisor, Dr. Brian Risavi will be present to supervise and assist. Furthermore, here are the COVID protocols that I ensure are upheld at all ACOS events: 1.) We will have a full roster of every individual who attends the guest lecturer event The educational purpose of this event is to expose students to a critical skill that requires proficiency in a variety of different specialties. This will additionally help students to prepare for clinical rotation. As some students may not have been exposed to this technique yet, this will be a fantastic opportunity to allow students to gain hands on experience and knowledge from a practicing orthopedic surgeon within the LECOM Health system.October 31, 2019 at 2:18 PMExpiredCassandra SimpsonSSP10/31/201911/15/2019SSP would like to do a clothing sale as our fall 2019 fundraiser.
