We understand that the current circumstances have made fundraising events almost impossible, but Chipotle is accommodating fundraisers by providing a code that could be used for all online orders, so as to avoid large gatherings of people. Mentoring Club hopes to raise enough money to buy the YMCA Kids Club more games and equipment for their use, as a gesture that we are still supporting them, even if the public health emergency severely limits our ability to be involved.

Customers must show the promotional flier for their purchase to go toward the fundraiser. Customers can also order on the Chipotle app using a promotional code. 33% of the revenue generated will be donated to the club. Proceeds will help us purchase reading glasses, which will be donated to the LECOM Senior Living Center. I am in contact with Jaime Babiak (Director of Operations) and she says there is a need for about 150 pairs of reading glasses for residents and patients across their various facilities.

If accepted, Chipotle will donate 33% of proceeds made by individuals who show them our flier. Menchies has not specified the exact amount they would donate. Mentoring club would promote going to one of both of these places through social media and word of mouth. The money would go towards Mentoring club, likely allowing us to replace some of the worn out sport equipment that the children are currently using.

A video game tournament fundraiser will be held to raise money for the local Children's Miracle Network Hospital (St.Vincent's). Children's Miracle Network Hospital is an organization that fund critical treatments and healthcare services, pediatric medical equipment and charitable care. This is only open to the students. During this tournament, the students will be playing two "E" rated games. Every participant will be able to write a Christmas letter to a child at the hospital and sign up for a free miracle band that will help spread the message that local children’s hospitals rely on everybody’s supports.

We are going to be raising money for Active Minds in the month of September. Active Minds is a charity that raises money to help with suicide prevention. We decided to do it during the month of September since it is suicide prevention month. We have decided to give the top 5 participants $10 gift cards. We are also going to send out a form for the people who are interested in participating, and then on the first day of the event we are going to send out the team name for everyone to join and then start walking, running, or biking. Everything is done on the app called Charity Miles, and the money is sent to the charity directly through the app. The participants will just make an account, join our team, and then work out on their own to raise money for the charity.
	March 9, 2022 at 12:55 PM	Approved	Charity Miles Fundraiser	Christian Medical and Dental Association	03/09/2022	04/01/2022	We (CMDA) are working together with Radiology Club to hold a fundraiser through the free app called Charity Miles. We are going to make a team on the app that anyone in LECOM (students and faculty) can join. Then on April 1st, we are going to start tracking everyone’s miles on the team. To use the free app, people will just hit “outdoor walk” or “outdoor run” (other options on the app as well) and their miles will be tracked by the app. While they walk or run, the app calculates how much money that person made while they were working out and directly sends the money to charity. The app is free to download and use, and the money is all from sponsors of the company, so there are no sponsors needed for the event. We will send out instructions on how to use the app and how to start a workout. We are also going to keep track of the miles that people walk/run and the top five participants from our school are going to get a twenty dollar gift card. Both of our clubs are going to send out a weekly update of the top five and how much money we have raised as a group. We are going to ask people to raise money for Save the Children and Unicef since they are sending relief to Ukraine, but the app has lots of amazing charities and each individual can choose which one they want to personally support. We know that we are a little late on the one month policy, so if we have to start later in April that is fine, but we are going to be holding the event for a month. Since it is just when people work out, it is a COVID safe event that can be done remotely and all through the app. We are also hoping that this will encourage our fellow students and the faculty to get out and move more in the nicer weather. Charity Miles is an app that you download on your phone, which raises money as you walk, run, or bike. The more miles you do, the more money is raised for Wounded Warrior Project. We are also going to send out a form for the people who are interested in participating, and then on the first day of the event we are going to send out the team name for everyone to join and then start walking, running, or biking. Everything is done on the app called Charity Miles, and the money is sent to the charity directly through the app. The participants will just make an account, join our team, and then work out on their own to raise money for the charity. This event will be done entirely on the participants' own time and can be joined from any location, so no COVID mitigation protocols are necessary.

For this we plan to have the students attending learn the basics of casting and techniques that encompass the process.

This event will give members an opportunity to learn from an orthopedic surgeon how to properly cast. The event will also be extended to the orthopedics club as it is an important skill for them to develop. As a resident at Millcreek Hospital, Dr. Miller is well versed in casting and has previous experience working with medical students. Earlier that day he will be giving the LDP pathway a lecture in casting so this event will allow students to learn the material in the classroom and then directly implement that knowledge with a hands on event. The anticipated event will be held on February 24th from 6pm-8pm in the OPP Lab. Our advisor, Dr. Melodie Chludzinski will be present. Furthermore, here are the COVID protocols that I ensure are upheld at all ACOS events: 1.) We will have a full roster of every individual who attends the guest lecturer event 2.) We will require masks, and uphold social distancing of at least 6 feet 3.) We will create a screening form for all members that sign up and require that they disclose any signs and symptoms, travel history, and close contact history prior to attending The educational purpose of this event is to expose students to a critical skill that requires proficiency in a variety of different specialties. As some students may not have been exposed to this technique yet, this will be a fantastic opportunity to allow students to gain hands on experience and knowledge from a practicing orthopedic surgeon within the LECOM Health system.

The event will also be extended to the orthopedics club as it is an important skill for them to develop. As a resident at Millcreek Hospital, Dr. Goodrich is well versed in casting and has previous experience working with medical students. Earlier that day he will be giving the LDP pathway a lecture in casting so this event will allow students to learn the material in the classroom and then directly implement that knowledge with a hands on event. The anticipated event will be held on February 23th from 5pm-7pm in the OPP Lab. Our advisor, Dr. Brian Risavi will be present. Furthermore, here are the COVID protocols that I ensure are upheld at all ACOS events: 1.) We will have a full roster of every individual who attends the guest lecturer event The educational purpose of this event is to expose students to a critical skill that requires proficiency in a variety of different specialties. It will additionally provide the unique opportunity for students to interact with and learn from residents. The event will also be extended to the orthopedics club as it is an important skill for them to develop. Earlier that day, Dr Alec Grossman, a resident at Millcreek Community Hospital, will be giving the LDP pathway a lecture in casting. This event will allow students to learn the material in the classroom and then directly apply that knowledge with a hands on event. The anticipated event will be held on February 28th from 5pm-7pm in the OPP Lab. Our advisor, Dr. Brian Risavi will be present to supervise and assist. Furthermore, here are the COVID protocols that I ensure are upheld at all ACOS events: 1.) We will have a full roster of every individual who attends the guest lecturer event The educational purpose of this event is to expose students to a critical skill that requires proficiency in a variety of different specialties. This will additionally help students to prepare for clinical rotation. As some students may not have been exposed to this technique yet, this will be a fantastic opportunity to allow students to gain hands on experience and knowledge from a practicing orthopedic surgeon within the LECOM Health system.
