The event will be held on campus back by the softball fields, weather pending. Each club will have a table and will be required to have board members present to give information about how to get involved and to answer questions regarding their clubs. The tables can either be rented or if LECOM has tables available for us to borrow, that would be preferred. We are also hoping to have a snack/small catered food option present for students to enjoy. Our current plan for this is ordering pizza from Virgil's Plate, which will come from our SGA funding. We hope this event can allow everyone to get information about the clubs and begin pursuing their interests early in the semester! The funding from both of these will come from our SGA funding. We are also requesting garbage bins or a dumpster for any waste from the food to be disposed of, if LECOM is able to provide these. We hope this event can allow everyone to get information about the clubs and begin pursuing their interests early in the semester! Set-up: SGA board members will facilitate delivery and pick-up of tables and food. The club fair event will begin at 9:30am-1:30pm on August 5th. Location: LECOM Medical Fitness & Wellness Center Purpose: The club fair at a medical school serves as a dynamic platform for students to explore a wide range of extracurricular activities and opportunities that complement their medical education. It aims to foster a vibrant and engaged community by bringing together various student-run clubs and organizations dedicated to different medical specialties, research areas, volunteer initiatives, and professional development. The purpose of the club fair is to provide students with a comprehensive overview of the diverse avenues available to them beyond the classroom, allowing them to connect with like-minded peers, gain valuable hands-on experience, and further their personal and professional growth. This event facilitates networking, collaboration, and the exchange of ideas, enabling students to discover new interests, strengthen their skills, and contribute meaningfully to the medical community.
