They will send trained staff to assist with distributing 100 units of Narcan free of charge and will provide training. We are also working with Nove, from whom we will purchase 50 Narcan keychains to better store the Narcan. The unit price is $8 but we will give them out for free to dues-paying members but they will be available for sale to anyone who's interested for $8. Each keychain kit includes: one nasal spray carry case, carabiner, and educational everyday carry reference card - completely bundled to distribute.

I believe NAMIWalks carries a powerful message, inspiring and advocating "Mental Health for All,” and our club at LECOM envisions a future where all physicians stand together to promote and prioritize mental health as an essential part of every patient's healthcare journey. The fundraiser walk will take place on Sunday, September 14th, 2025, and will be located at Penn State Behrend - Junker Center Parking Lot 5285 Station Rd, Erie, PA 16510. Volunteers will help with passing out refreshments and by being walk guides for the participants. The volunteering period will span from 7:00am - 11am. For those who want to participate in the walk alone, registration opens at 8AM.

	September 2, 2022 at 9:56 AM	Approved	Naloxone Training	SOMA	09/02/2022	11/07/2022	Proposed date: Monday, November 7 th , 2022 from 6-7PM Idea: SOMA’s OPTF will be hosting a Naloxone Training that will be lead by Mili Patel, the Opioid Task Force Director. The session will be a one-hour presentation that will discuss introduction to opioids, history of the opioid epidemic, and the current overdose statistics in the United States. Those who attend the event will be able to respond to an opioid-related overdose with naloxone. Following the event, all participants will receive a certificate of participation and information on how to obtain Naloxone through NEXT Distro. The certificate will be associated with Student Osteopathic Medical Association (SOMA). By the time of this training session, I will have completed the Naloxone Trainer course through Overdose Lifeline, Inc. and I will be certified to provide Naloxone Training sessions to students. This training will be through Zoom as part of our COVID mitigation plan. As medical students, it is imperative to advance our education and learn about the various substance use treatment services that are available to us. Through this training, we, as medical students, can take action to fight the growing opioid epidemic in the United States. It will also allow students to ask any questions that they may have regarding this issue.

Mili Patel, OMS-III who received her training certification through Overdose Lifeline Inc., will be hosting the training over Zoom for clubs such as SSP, ACOS, SNMA, Internal Medicine, Pediatrics, Emergency Medicine and SOMA. The virtual nature of the event will help accommodate any potential COVID concerns that could arise during the Fall months. This event will certify students on the science behind this lifesaving drug and how to properly administer it which is a valuable skill to have in the growing opioid epidemic.

	August 22, 2025 at 10:31 AM	Approved	Mug and care package fundraiser	ENT_Ophthalmology	08/22/2025	10/13/2025	The ENT & Ophthalmology cub will be hosting a fundraiser where we sell anatomy mugs that include a care package. I am in contact with a seller (MugShotz1888 on etsy) for the mugs that will bulk sell them to us for $10 each, including shipping, as long as we order 20 mugs. The care package will include items such as a pair of blue light glasses, Emergen-C packets, tea bags, chapstick, travel hand sanitizer, small tissue packs, gum, honey sticks, etc. We will plan to sell these mugs/care package for $20 each from October 13th through October 24th. People can place their order with us and submit payment through either venmo or with cash. After the sale has ended, we will place the orders for the mugs and care package contents. We will then assemble them after everything has arrived and distribute them during lunch over the course of a few days. I have attached a picture of the mug below. Although Dr. Buzas is not listed under the drop down menu, I have obtained his written approval for the event and have also attached it below.

He also recently switched from trying to match into a Radiology residency into Dermatology, so he was going to speak about this change and information about audition rotations. We will also have an open Q&A with him afterwards for students that have questions about rotations and the change in Step 1/COMLEX 1 becoming pass/fail.

This will be an interactive panel discussion with plenty of time for questions from the audience. We plan to open this up to Orthopedics Club and Women's Health Club from Erie campus as well as ACOS clubs at our sister campuses of Bradenton, Seton Hill, and Elmira. This event will be held on Zoom and will be open to all MS1, MS2, and MS3 students. Students will have the opportunity to submit questions for the panelists ahead of time. Questions will be distributed across the panelists during the event. If time allows, students may ask live questions to the panelists. This will be an excellent opportunity for students to hear about the journey of MS4s who were once in their shoes. This will also allow students to learn and understand the process of matching into competitive specialties and how to strengthen your resume and background to successfully match into competitive specialties. The event will allow students to gain insight into some helpful tips. The event will be on October 17th from 6 PM – 7 PM. The three MS3 students that have been selected are Ronnie Lott, Sam Wlasowicz, and Jayleen Everett. The selected students have been approved by Dr.Kalmey. A google form will be provided ahead of time for students to submit any questions they want to ask the presenters. This will be a great event for students to gain some insight from peers that very recently went through the process.

Faculty will be invited, several MS3s will be invited, and some MS4s will be invited to simply discuss their experiences with the various rotations they had. It is expected that at least 100 MS2s will come and approximately 20 students older will come to talk about experiences. The event is open to the entire class and the food will be sponsored by class funds. There will also be raffles for the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Disease during the event.

Contact between Bigs and Littles will be encouraged through Zoom, Skype, Facetime, phone calls, and E-mail. Any contact between Big/Littles will adhere to both CDC and LECOM Campus guidelines.

The second will consist of a graded practice practical that will follow the same format as the final administered by Dr. Coughlin. SOAP notes will not be graded but we encourage you all to test your writing in the 9 minute window once you are home! This will take place in the OPP lab so OPP attire is appropriate. Please ensure to bring all equipment including a drape and something to write with! We look forward to seeing you all there!

These reviews will be virtual and held through either zoom or google meet. MS1 students will be alerted through email and their facebook group.
	August 29, 2025 at 9:16 AM	Complete	MS1 Mock Anatomy Practical 2	ACOS-MSS	08/29/2025	09/20/2025	ACOS will be working alongside Dr. Kulesza in setting up a mock practical, with both a written and oral component for MS1s to help prepare for their second exam. Dr. Kulesza will be present throughout the day and will help to set up. We are opening up assistance in preparation for the mock exam to SPM and MS2s so that students can gain volunteer hours for their time. I will work with the SGA webmaster to ensure volunteer hours are approved. The written component will take place in the Cadaver lab while the oral will be held in the study rooms. We will also be having a PBL mock practical at the same time happening in Case Room 17. Study room 5 and Case Room 117 will both need to be reserved. The educational purpose of this event is to prepare MS1's for their first anatomy practical. It will be performed exactly as the real practical to allow students to gauge their level of understanding of the material.
