He will be speaking about the Saint Vincent Family Medicine Residency program on Monday, April 4th at 5:30PM over Zoom. He will be sharing general information on the program including curriculum, schedule, and the community. The info session will be followed by a Q&A session. Anyone is welcome to come prepared with questions about the residency program, questions about applications, or just come ready to listen.

All materials will be provided by the crew at Presque Isle, and students will be able to get a maximum of 2 volunteer hours. Students will not need to bring anything.

The event will be on November 6 from 5:30-7:30 in the LECOM-Erie OPP lab and we will have Dr. Melodie, Dr. Falk, and various sports medicine faculty coming in to help us run the clinic.
March 7, 2024 at 8:48 AMApprovedSAAO/SOMA Food DriveSAAO03/07/202404/22/2024SAAO is co-hosting a food drive with SOMA to support the Second Harvest Foodbank. It will be from 4/22-4/26 and is a great way to gain volunteer hours while helping the local foodbank. We will be collecting non-perishables and pantry items for a maximum of 2 hours (0.5 hours per item). The donation bin will be placed in the LECOM Lobby and the items will be collected at the end of the week and delivered to the food bank. This will be a contactless event, and will follow all LECOM COVID guidelines set in place.

We will have a forum for MS1's from 5:30 to 6:30 and begin checking students in at 5:15. We will hold a forum for MS2's following the MS1 forum, which will begin at 6:30. We have selected forum writers that will be assigned to specific dates. They will go in front of the class and demonstrate what was learned in lab the previous week. Afterwards, students will have the opportunity to practice while forum writers and the board walk around and answer questions. We would like to use the OPP Lab every Tuesday of the fall semester from 5 to 8 pm.

Sale from Friday Oct 9th - Friday Oct 16th (or ending sooner if all Shirts are claimed) The orders will all be delivered through socially distant pick up in the back parking lot of LECOM on October 19th from 1:30-3:30 PM. All payment will take place through Venmo (Convo 2020 Shirts -$15 each and Convo 2019 Shirts -$10 each). Masks and gloves worn by all during distribution (two people distributing shirts). Pre- Order Size —> All shirts in plastic bags with names written on for distribution. If Consent is given Pick ups for more than one shirt may be allowed to reduce # of people (Ex: roommates picking up). Any student that is unavailable to be on location to pick up t-shirt on 19th can pick up T-shirt during Designated OPP Weeks (Shirts Distributed During Lab Hours by Teachers (Dr. Esper) in Lab - these shirts will be Delivered to Main campus to sit for two weeks prior to each pod getting box for distributing t-shirt)

Still themed shirts with the American Academy of Osteopathy Student logo on the front. They will be around $20.00 per shirt. We will make the announcement to club members and they can request to purchase a shirt during forums when we will already be in the OPP lab.

We will be making 65 of these shirts in a navy blue color. All shirts will have the words, 'SAAO' on the front, and have an asclepius skeletal snake on the back with the phrase 'SAAO JUST D.O. IT'. The attached designs will be ordered.

All shirts will say SAAO Lecom Erie on the front with an anatomical question mark on the back. The darker blue shirts that will be for sale for all students will additionally have "OMT... I use it, D.O. you?" on the back. The attached designs will be ordered, however the shirt colors will be light blue (for forum writers) and darker blue (for purchase). We will store the shirts and students can purchase them at any time during throughout the semester during forums or if they contact SAAO E-board. Funds raised from the T-shirts will be used for future events and convocation costs.

We would like to offer a short sleeve, long sleeve, and crew necks in a standard Gildan ultra cotton t shirt in grey, light blue and navy blue colors. We believe that our costing will range between $10 and $12 and we would sell them with a $7 markup to help generate funds for our convocation trip planned for March 2025. We expect that our costs will go down with an increase quantity of shirts ordered. Our executive board will coordinate t-shirt orders during our regularly scheduled forums. We will take orders in person and via email from our members, collect funds in form of check/cash prior to placing the order with the company, and then distribute the apparel at one of our biweekly forums.

We believe that our costing will range between $10 and $12 and we would sell them with a $5 markup to help generate funds for our convocation trip planned for March 2024. We expect that our costing will go down with an increase quantity of shirts ordered. Our executive board will coordinate t-shirt orders during our regularly scheduled forums. We will take orders in person and via email from our members, collect funds in form of check/cash prior to placing the order with the company, and then distribute the apparel at one of our biweekly forums. Only members of the SAAO would be able to purchase the club shirt.
