I'd like to nominate our support for International Rescue Committee. This organization is very well known and has been around for quite some time. They are based out of New York and they have received 4 stars from Charity Navigator. Their primary goal is to respond to humanitarian crises all over the world as well as in the U.S, including bringing primary care to refugees and at risk populations. This organization spends 89% of its budget on programs, which mean the majority of our funds raised for them will go to helping people in need. I would still like to use the coffee fundraiser as mentioned before from Jo Coffee, since we will be getting 42% of sales toward our fundraiser. Other fundraisers I've looked into do not offer this much turn around on sales. Once the orders are finished being placed, I would submit the order and then the coffee would be delivered to LECOM for me to distribute to students who have purchased. Then once LECOM has recieved the fundraiser check from the coffee company we can easily make the payment to IRC online. Please let me know if there is anything I can clarify and I welcome any feedback on this project. Thank you for considering my request.

The symbol has become synonymous with equal rights for LGBTQ Americans and used to represent a safe zone for LGBTQ individuals and patients. Each pin will be sold for $3 and all proceeds will go to LECOM Allies.

The first one is the Jo Coffee fundraiser. Since we are raising money for 2 organizations, I thought 2 fundraiser events would raise enough money to donate to both. This one is simple. Students simply show up to Blaze Pizza and show them the flyer for our fundraiser and then Blaze will send a check back to us to donate to our causes. We will receive 20% of the sales profit. Then half of the money can be donated to Love and Hope Children's Home in El Salvador via their website to help buy medication for the children there. The other half will go to Dr. Mendez, an infectious disease physician, at the San Rafael Hospital in San Salvador. She will use the money to buy baby formula for HIV positive mothers and toward installing indoor plumbing for them.

December 26, 2018 at 11:41 AMApprovedScript Your Future at Glenwood YMCAChristian Medical and Dental Association12/26/201802/10/2019CMDA members will work with LECOM Christian Pharmacists Fellowship International (CPFI) to educate patrons of the Glenwood YMCA about the risks of hypertension and ways to reduce the risk of getting it; including handouts on smoking cessation and diabetes. Pharmacy and medical students will, under the supervision of a pharmacist, take blood pressure readings and interpret these results. All students present will be able to educate on risk factors and life style modifications. As smoking is a major contributing factor, smoking cessation education will also be provided.

The e-board will be present in the cafeteria on Valentine's Day (February 14th) for pick up of purchased grams.
