During the MS2 lunch hour, the two clubs plan to purchase and upsell bubble tea from the SobaEra_Tsaocaa restaurant. Depending on their inventory, 30-40 bubble teas will be sold. The clubs will split the proceeds made at the end of the day. This fundraiser event will occur on Friday, December 5th.

Part of this partnership includes presentations from USMLE-Rx representatives to tell students about the resources available. As MS2 students approach more dedicated board study time, USMLE-Rx would like to give a presentation entitled “The Path to 250” to show students some of their best resources. The virtual presentation will be 1 hour long for any MS2 who chooses to attend, and it will be held on October 21 from 6-7:00pm. The event will be held on zoom or google meet and will be only virtual.

As part of this partnership, USMLE-Rx gives presentations to SOMA students at schools to let them know about what resources are available. USMLE-Rx will be giving a presentation to MS1 students entitled “Mastering Med School” to show them what they can be doing as first year students and beyond to be successful in class and on boards. Dr. Jung will be detailing his path to becoming a surgeon, describing his residency and clinical experience, and permitting an open Q/A session so students can become more familiar with the field. Dr. Chludzinski will be present at this event. Furthermore, here are the COVID protocols that I ensure are upheld at all ACOS events: 1.) We will have a full roster of every individual who has signed up for the clinic 2.) We will have a check-in for all members and staff who attend the suturing clinic 3.) We will require masks, and uphold social distancing of at least 6 feet 4.) We will sanitize before and after the suturing clinic and mentorship discussion to avoid the potential spread of COVID 5.) We will create a screening form for all members that sign up and require that they disclose any signs and symptoms, travel history, and close contact history prior to attending

Collections will be held in the North entrance lobby. Toys will be picked up regularly by club members and stored to then be donated. Students will be able to earn 1 hour volunteering per toy donated with a maximum of 2 hours earned. Donations and student names will be monitored via an online form.

A minimum of one adult staff member from the YMCA (usually 2-3 are present on a regular basis however) will be present at every meeting to be in control and take responsibility for the program and children. The purpose of the presence of the LECOM students once a week at the Kid's Club, a site run by the YMCA off campus from LECOM, is to help mentor and facilitate personal growth in the children of the program. We would like to offer 2.5 hours for total participation in the shopping for, organization of and participation in this event by the volunteers.

Google forms will be sent out in advance to collect information on those purchasing bags during the week of April 16-20th. These bags will then be distributed at lunch on 4/24/24 . These bags will include bone-shaped pens, a sweet treat, and Earth Day stickers. Treats will accommodate possible allergies. All funds earned from the event will be utilized to help replenish the club funds as our new e-board, which will further be used for future events & replenishment of their sport equipment.
