The items selected for the event were voted on by the student body in a google form that was sent out in August. Items: 1. Pins for white coat 2. Pocket Medicine Book for Rotations 3. Skincare face mask 4. Sports Drinks 5. Scrub Caps 6. Retractable badges 7. Reusable Water bottles We will also give out snacks that were left over from our Welcome Fair. Prior Planning: Anthony Dicecca and Khin Oo will purchase/ order the items. Set up: SGA Board - Khin Oo, Anthony Dicecca, Tyler Dobratz, Serene Bahi, Ananya Koka, William Kim, and Abhay Dhillon will set up items in the Vora lounge at 11:30 am. All items are individually wrapped for COVID safety. Students will be able to come into the Vora lounge from 11:30 am - 1: 00 pm to choose their items (Maintaining social distancing and room capacity rules). Clean up at 1:00 pm. SGA Board - Khin Oo, Anthony Dicecca, Tyler Dobratz, Serene Bahi, Ananya Koka, William Kim, and Abhay Dhillon will clean up items and organize the room.

The event will allow students to gain insight into some helpful tips. The event will be on October 17th from 6 PM – 7 PM. The three MS3 students that have been selected are Ronnie Lott, Sam Wlasowicz, and Jayleen Everett. The selected students have been approved by Dr.Kalmey. A google form will be provided ahead of time for students to submit any questions they want to ask the presenters. This will be a great event for students to gain some insight from peers that very recently went through the process.

I believe that this event presents as a meaningful opportunity for our club members to gather and support the greater Erie community. It also helps raise awareness and educate the public on Alzheimer’s, a pertinent disease that we will for sure be encountering in both our didactic and clinical education. The fundraiser walk will take place on Saturday, September 20, 2025 and will be located at Perry Square, Erie, PA. Volunteers will help with set-up, passing out refreshments, help with advocacy efforts, and cheer along walk participants. The volunteering period will span from 7:00am - 11am. Participating volunteers will also receive a free t-shirt.

The Community Blood Bank will send us a form to distribute to students regarding who will qualify for blood donations and how to make an appointment. We would have the event from November 17th to the 21st, where SAAO would encourage students to make an appointment to donate in order to earn 2 volunteer hours. Our supplier/company is DE Sports Inc. out of Clarion, PA. T shirts would reflect the design attached to this form. We would like to offer both a short and long sleeve t shirt in a standard Gildan cotton t shirt in grey and navy blue colors. We believe that our costing will range between $10 and $12 and we would sell them with a $5 markup to help generate funds for our convocation trip planned for March 2024. We expect that our costing will go down with an increase quantity of shirts ordered. Our executive board will coordinate t-shirt orders during our regularly scheduled forums. We will take orders in person and via email from our members, collect funds in form of check/cash prior to placing the order with the company, and then distribute the apparel at one of our biweekly forums. Only members of the SAAO would be able to purchase the club shirt.

We would sell them for around $70.00 with LECOM embroidered on them. Additionally, students could get their own name embroidered on the jacket as well for an additional $10.00. We would use the website Threadfellow to order the jackets once we send out a google form and know which students would like to purchase them and receive payment. The jackets without any embroidery on the website are between $46 and $55 dollars. Once they arrive and are completed we would distribute them in the Vora Lounge. We will have an option for 3rd and 4th years to pay for shipping directly to themselves. Note: the request for the Vora Lounge is not for the dates selected. Those dates will be the selling window, and distribution will depend on how long Threadfellow takes to embroider the jackets.

We will be donating to the United Way of Erie County Community Schools, who will then distribute the supplies to students in need within the schools of Erie county. Students could donate an item for 30 minutes of volunteer time, with a maximum of 2 hours worth of volunteer hours. Additionally, students could make cash donations of any amount, which would be collected by SAAO and used to purchase supplies, for a maximum of 30 minutes of volunteer time. SAAO will send out a spreadsheet where students can sign up to bring items, as well as a list with items requested by the United Way of Erie. We will have students drop off the supplies on the front tables as you enter the LECOM building in a bag with their name on it. SAAO would then collect these items at the end of each day, as well as purchase more with the money donated, then at the end of the week take the supplies to the donation center.

This fundraiser aims to raise money to reduce the out-of-pocket expense for students who want to attend Convocation next year (2024). A flyer will be sent out via email for students to show at Blaze Pizza for their purchase to be counted towards our fundraiser. COVID mitigation plan: We will follow the protocols set out by the school.
