SOMA and the Emergency Medicine Club will be collaborating to host a Sponsor a Pediatric Halloween Gift Bag initiative from October 13th through October 27th for pediatric patients at AHN Saint Vincent Hospital. LECOM students will have the opportunity to sponsor a child’s Halloween gift bag for $7 and receive 1 volunteer hour (max of 2 hours) for their contribution. The gift bags will be given to pediatric patients who may not be able to go out and trick-or-treat this year, allowing us to bring some Halloween fun to them. Each bag will include festive items such as individually wrapped candy, stickers, a Halloween activity, spider rings, and other small Halloween-themed treats and toys. SOMA and Emergency Medicine Club members will assemble and distribute the sponsored bags to the children at Saint Vincent Hospital. This initiative gives LECOM students an opportunity to support local pediatric patients and help make Halloween special for children who may otherwise miss out on traditional Halloween activities.
