Dr. Karen Nichols, a board-certified Internist, first female President of the AOA, and one of the first DOs to serve as Chair for the ACGME, among numerous other accomplishments, will be giving a seminar on Leadership in Osteopathic Medicine. Seeing how osteopathic medical students face numerous hurdles to overcome until graduation, it is easy to become lost in the curriculum and forget what the end goal for this journey is. SOMA is proud to present Dr. Nichols, as she helps guide students through what it means to be an osteopathic physician, and how to approach leadership roles as students, helping us better prepare for our future as members of the osteopathic community. We welcome students to please join us and learn, from a true pillar of the community, what it means to be a leader in Osteopathic Medicine.
