Please help us raise funds to buy materials for our Teddy Bear clinic with local children. We are hoping to provide all the children that attend with tooth brushes, tooth paste and bandages while we speak to them about their health and hygiene. Any donations are greatly appreciated. The Emergency Medicine Club and Family Medicine Club are partnering up to raise aware about Heart Disease and Cardiovascular Health for February! We are going to be selling sweaters in order to raise money and awareness about heart disease. The proceeds of this fundraiser will be donated to the AHA. Dr. David Andonian, program director of the Emergency Medicine Residency at SUNY Upstate Medical University, will be joining the LECOM Elmira EM Club for a virtual meeting about the stated specialty. On January 11th, 2024 at 6PM the dermatology Club will be hosting a lecture over Zoom by Board certified Dermatologist, and LECOM alumnus, Dr. Thomas Singer. Dr. Singer will be talking about the identification and treatment of important dermatological conditions such as Stevens Johnson Syndrome, Toxic Epidermal Necrolysis, and DRESS Syndrome.

The EM club will be hosting its Fall meeting on December 16th at 6pm with Dr. Byrd on Zoom. He will be discussing his experience as an EM resident and answering any questions from prospective EM students.

Dr. Goldstein is a LECOM alumna and the current president of the American College of Osteopathic Physicians (ACOP), and will be speaking with current students about important skills for Pediatrics Residency, how to talk to teens and the use of OMM in pediatric patients. …

The Christian Medical and Dental Association will be selling LECOM apparel as a fundraiser. A google form to gauge interest in styles and colors will be distributed at a future date.

Pride Club and the Black Medical Student Association is excited to partner and host a karaoke fundraiser at Elmira College- Mackenzie's Stage to raise money to donate at a local organization.

AMWA will be holding a club meeting to discuss upcoming events and activities! This meeting is open to current members as well as students interested in joining.

At the Teddy Bear clinic we will be speaking with local children about health and hygiene. Through their Teddy Bears as "patients" we will talk about the importance of oral health, hygiene, fractures and abrasions/lacerations. Come join us for an evening of basketball and volleyball at nearby Elmira College! We are hosting our 3rd annual basketball tournament on January 13th, 2023.
