Following this, she will explain the use of central venous catheters and tracheal intubation in the field. She will then demonstrate proper placement of these devices in front of the students. Part II: Students will break into groups to practice the skills they just learned in a safe environment on training equipment. During this time, Dr. Podraza will observe the student’s efforts and answer additional questions. COVID Mitigation Plan: All students attest to the absence of symptoms and/or exposure to COVID-19 prior to the event via online submission. All LECOM precautions will remain in place including temperature screening, face masks, and proper hand-hygiene. All training equipment will be properly sanitized before and after each student.

The written component will take place in the Cadaver lab while the oral will be held in the study rooms 1-5. We will also be having a PBL mock practical at the same time happening in case room 117. The educational purpose of this event is to prepare MS1's for their anatomy practical. It will be performed exactly as the real practical to allow students to gauge their level of understanding of the material. The following COVID-19 protocol will be strictly followed (if mandated at the time of the event): 1.) We will have a full roster of every individual who has signed up for the clinic--both volunteers and attendees 2.) We will have a check-in for all members and staff who attend the mock practical 3.) We will require masks, and uphold social distancing of at least 6 feet 4.) We will sanitize before and after the exam to avoid the potential spread of COVID 5.) We will create a screening form for all members that sign up and require that they disclose any signs and symptoms, travel history, and close contact history prior to attending 7.) We will keep attendees in smaller groups by generating different start times for their exam

Iftaar is the meal with which we break our fast at sunset, and this event will provide an opportunity for AMMSA members to come together, take a mental break from studying, and share a meaningful meal in a supportive community setting. To facilitate this event, we kindly request to reserve the East Hall and one classroom. We will be hosting this dinner potluck style; therefore, food will be provided by the attendees. Additionally, all cleanup responsibilities will be handled by our board members. We will bring extra trash bags and ensure the space is left in the same condition as we found it. We recently hosted a similar event on Friday, March 7th, which ran smoothly. Given our experience, we anticipate this event will be just as successful. We will be catering food from an outside vendor for dinner and are planning on charging $10 per person to help cover some of the expenses, and would like to use our budget to cover the remaining expenses. Educational purpose: Educate the campus about Eid traditions, celebrate an important Muslim holiday, and help diversify the community COVID mitigation plan: The event will take place in a space big enough for people to be spread out and mask enforcement will be followed based on the COVID case numbers. Vendor choices: As-Salam, Cleveland Grocers, Desi Khabba, or Paradise Biryani Pointe (we have not decided on a restaurant yet but these are our options)

It’s also a great opportunity to unwind and destress after a week of exams. We are hoping to host this event on Friday, September 6th from 6:00PM to 8:00PM, which is after the first-year students' first Anatomy and OPP exams. The event will be set up on Beach 1 at Presque Isle. We will use our club's funds to purchase the ice cream, spoons, and cups needed for this event.

This will provide students the opportunity to show pride in their school while staying warm. We plan to sell the jackets at a low profit to keep them affordable for all students and we plan to sell to all LECOM Erie students and staff. We plan on using the official LECOM logo and have been in contact with Matt Bresee on its appropriate use. The North Face Jacket Fundraiser will help our club accumulate funds to use this coming school year on any events that we plan on hosting. Once this event is approved, we will reach out to The North Face regarding the fundraiser. Embroidery of these jackets will be done at the local Embroidery Shoppe (3018 Cherry St, Erie, PA 16508). When the jackets ready, we will distribute them in the Vora Lounge. The main point of contact for this fundraiser will be Mohammad Qasem at mqasem20080@med.lecom.edu.
