The vision of this organization is to "become a vehicle to inspire young people to become active, socially engaged and united upon our shared Islamic and humanitarian values. Raising money to help countless Orphans and Needy Children across the World is just one outcome. Whatever the problem, no matter how complex or how longstanding, we will always find it easier to solve when we all work together." A $10 fee will be charged to each person interested in participating in the tournament. 100% of the funds raised will go towards the organization. We will use our own club's funds to purchase water, cups, and trophies for the winning team. The tournament will work as a bracket 2-3 point system, first to 21. We will request teams of 3 and have 2 tournaments happening at the same time playing half-court games. We will have referees and board members to keep track of points and the bracket tournament. We were hoping to host this event on Saturday, November 4th from 9:00 AM-1:00 PM at the LECOM Wellness Center (5401 Peach St, Erie, PA 16509). This weekend seemed to work best with the MS1 and MS2 schedules so we hope to have good attendance for our event. I have called and confirmed availability with the Wellness Center and they notified me that we can host our event at the requested date/time.

To bring students together in this spirit, we would like to request approval to host an Eid Celebration Dinner on Friday, April 4th, 2025, from 7:30 PM to 10:00 PM at the LECOM Education Center (2951 W 38th St, Erie, PA 16506). We kindly request to reserve the East Hall and one classroom for this event. Dinner will be catered from a local vendor (TBD) using club funds. Pickup and delivery of the food will be handled by board members. Additionally, all cleanup responsibilities will be managed by our board members. We will bring extra trash bags and ensure that the space is left in the same condition as we found it. The club has hosted 2 events at the same venue within the past month; everything ran smoothly and all cleanup was properly handled. PLEASE NOTE: Kindly inform the security guard at the LECOM Education Center about our event. We have confirmed with Hammocks representatives the availability of the Clubhouse for the event of this size and duration.

Educational purpose: We hope to use these funds to host more events for the upcoming school year and educate the campus on our traditions and help diversify the community. COVID mitigation plan: The event will take place in a space big enough for people to be spread out and mask enforcement will be followed based on the COVID case numbers.
September 1, 2020 at 2:06 PMApprovedAmerican Cancer Society #GoldTogether Champion CampaignOncology Club09/01/202009/01/2020The American Cancer Society is hosting a virtual "Relay for Life" - type event for awareness and fundraising for pediatric cancer. #GoldTogether Champions will virtually unite to make a greater impact and secure better outcomes for kids with cancer. The event lasts throughout the month of September, coinciding with Childhood Cancer Awareness Month. Every Tuesday, there are fun/interactive social media challenges to raise awareness for the cause, as well as encourage followers to donate to our LECOM Oncology team. All proceeds will directly benefit pediatric cancer causes (including childhood cancer research and physician education). The LECOM Oncology club is asking permission to create a LECOM team and raise money for a great cause!

I apologize if this is the incorrect place to submit it! Allies Club will be having its first meeting of the year on Friday 9/20/2024 and we are requesting the use of the Vora Lounge from 4-6 pm that day. During this meeting, we will discuss upcoming events and welcome new members. Afterwards, we will host a group study session and provide refreshments such as tea and hot cocoa.

He will be discussing ALL things Pathology and how to become a competitive applicant to Pathology residency programs.

The YETI bottles will cost us $30 with the customization and we plan on selling them for $38. Some of the proceeds from this fundraiser will be donated to Emma's Footprints Foundation, a local non-profit organization that helps parents with fetal and infantile loss. Our club is currently working with Emma's Footprints by volunteering at their annual Gala on March 2nd. The remainder of the proceeds will be for our club expenses to provide food and other materials during our monthly meetings. UPDATED SECTION: The logo will be printed on the YETI thermostats. UPDATED SECTION: the YETI mugs can be blue with a white logo or white with a blue logo.

On 12/5/19 at 6:00pm. Similar to last year's event, we will be presenting information about the importance of skin care and what products should be avoided during pregnancy. After this short presentation, Olivia Hallas (a LECOM OSMIII student) will be doing a demonstration on how to make bath-bombs. Each student will be able to take home their own homemade bath-bomb. This event will help promote student wellness before finals begin.

Immediately after the quilt making event, students will gather in the atrium to form LECOM's annual AIDS day ribbon picture. *All the bags for the candy grams will be sealed, and any food or drinks contained within are not to be consumed lecture halls!*
July 1, 2025 at 6:33 PMApprovedAHN Saint Vincent Cancer Center Patient BagsOncology Club07/01/202508/12/2025For this event, we will be asking students to donate new and unused items that chemotherapy patients would fine useful whenever they are attending their appointments. This includes a variety of items such as lotion, chapstick, small snacks, socks, tissues, puzzle books, etc. If a student brings in 2 of these items, they will receive 1 hour of service. Students will sign up to record the donated items on a shared spreadsheet. We will place a donation basket at the entrance for students to drop off their items. Once these items are collected, they will be placed into gift bags and donated to the AHN Saint Vincent Cancer Center in Erie so they can be distributed to patients by the staff. We have contacted the Cancer Center and they are willing to accept our donations.

This remote presentation (via Zoom) from Amy Ventry, MSW and Social Service Coordinator at Lakeland Area Hospice, will guide us through what an advanced directive is and how to write one for ourselves, and how to carry out one for our future patients. With COVID becoming increasingly present in our world and with younger people being severely affected, it is important that young adults have advanced directives in place. While we hope to never need to use advanced directives, it is still crucial that we have our wishes be known in the event of being unable to make these decisions. Amy will give a 45 minute remote presentation about advanced directives, and then will open the floor for questions about advanced directives and her presentation.

There will then be a hands-on learning opportunity for students to practice techniques. It will give our members the chance to interact with one another while learning valuable skills they will learn more about on rotations. All equipment for the interactive activity will be provided by Dr. Risavi. A sign-up sheet will be provided for students to participate with a maximum of 30 students allowed to sign-up. Students will adhere to current COVID Regulations set by LECOM. Our Club Advisor, Dr. Risavi, has approved of the event and will be in attendance. This event will be held on Saturday November 11th in Pharmacy Lecture Hall A and the OPP Lab from 8:00am – 4:00pm.
