This would also give the students a chance to meet the SGA board, learn about the SGA podcast, and hear about any upcoming events. We will be catering from an external vendor. This event will be held outdoors which allows vaccinated students to be mask free but requires unvaccinated individuals to wear a mask. The club booths will be socially distanced and spaced appropriately. The catered food will include single serve items and waste will be disposed in non-touch trash cans. Students will have access to sanitizer and items such as pens/sign up sheets will be regulated by club board members. We will direct crowds, if any, in a single flow. The event will be held on campus back by the softball fields, weather pending. Each club will have a table and will be required to have board members present to give information about how to get involved and to answer questions regarding their clubs. The tables can either be rented or if LECOM has tables available for us to borrow, that would be preferred. We are also hoping to have a snack/small catered food option present for students to enjoy. Our current plan for this is ordering pizza from Virgil's Plate, which will come from our SGA funding. We hope this event can allow everyone to get information about the clubs and begin pursuing their interests early in the semester! A Chipotle lunch event to help refuel our brains for Neuro!Class of 202902/19/202603/17/2026The Class of 2029 is planning to host a Chipotle-catered lunch on March 17, 2026, from 12:00–1:00 PM to boost morale during neuroanatomy. We respectfully request to reserve Vora Lounge to accommodate the full class. Food will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis. We will have a sign up sheet that goes out to the entire class and based on who signs up first, we will organize everyone into 10 minute time slots to come and grab their food throughout the hour to minimize hallway congestion. Members of the Class Board of 2029 will oversee food distribution in the Vora Lounge to ensure appropriate portioning and organization. To promote efficient traffic flow and minimize congestion in both the lounge and surrounding hallways, we plan to utilize the two back tables in Vora Lounge for food setup and establish a clearly designated pathway for the serving line. To maintain hygiene and safety standards: Hand sanitizer will be available at the beginning of the serving line. Serving utensils will be monitored to reduce the risk of cross-contamination and limit the spread of germs. We have informed Dupree of the planned event and have coordinated with Maintenance to notify them of the potential for increased waste disposal needs. The Class Board members will be responsible for all of the event cleanup immediately following the lunch, as no board members have scheduled classes during that time. We have also taken dietary considerations into account. Vegan options will be available through customizable bowls without animal products, and gluten-free options will be available by offering bowl-based meals without tortillas. We appreciate your consideration of this request and look forward to hosting a well-organized and inclusive event for the Class of 2029.January 17, 2026 at 5:05 PMApprovedClass of 2028 Volunteer Pinning CeremonyLECOM Med Erie - SGA01/17/202602/23/2026Volunteer Pinning Ceremony Celebrating the Student Volunteers of the Class of 2028 This event, designed to honor the dedication and hard work of the student volunteers from the Class of 2028. Each third week of the month, a nomination form will be available for students in the Class of 2028 to submit names of students in the MS2 class. The nomination form will be linked below and includes the nominee’s name and a small explanation for why they would like to nominate the student. At the end of the week, SGA, Class Board, and Class Representatives will view the submissions and determine one student who will be the Student Doctor of the Month based on their dedication to LECOM, hard work in the classroom, willingness to help other students, and other criteria. In the fourth week of every month, an email will be sent to the nominated student to notify them that they have been nominated as the Class of 2028 Student of the Month. They will be given a nominee form to fill out, which will include fun facts about the student that they are willing to share. All questions on the form are optional, and the nominee will only be required to answer questions they are comfortable with. The Student Doctor of the Month award will be open to a student from a different pathway each month (ex. An LDP student in August, PBL in September, DSP in October, etc.) so students are able to learn about their classmates in different pathways. This will be disclosed in the nomination form each month, and only students who are from the designated pathway for the month will be able to be nominated. Once the nominee fills out the nomination form, an email will be sent to the Class of 2028 including an infographic of the student that was chosen and the fun facts/answers to the questions they filled out in the form.
