It will take place on Monday, February 24th, 2024, in the LECOM atrium from 5:00 to 6:00 PM. Event Details: • Purpose: Recognizing the invaluable contributions of student volunteers and celebrating their positive impact on the community. • Guests: A total of 35 individuals will be personally invited for their service, with the option to bring one guest each. Including SGA members and staff, we anticipate no more than 100 attendees. • RSVP: An RSVP form will be distributed, with responses due by February 20th, 2024. Final guest counts will be shared with Dr. Shablowski, and Dr. Thielman for logistical arrangements and Chef Dupree for refreshments. • Documentation: Social media will be contacted so she can take photos and videos for the event • Volunteers: A list of the volunteers along with all the other details regarding the volunteer work will be provided to Dr. Shablowski so he can announce the volunteers Event Roles and Responsibilities: 1. Dr. Shablowski: As the MC of the event, Dr. Shablowski will deliver a welcoming address, highlighting the volunteers’ impact. He will also present awards to the top-performing individuals: o Top 35-11 o Top 10-4 o Top 3 2. Awards and Recognition: o Muhammed Zouabi will hand the awards to the volunteers as they are announced and take a picture with them o Recipients will receive certificates, pins, and monetary awards in acknowledgment of their efforts. 3. Social media: Will take photos of the volunteers as they are presented their awards o Will also take videos and photos throughout the event 4. Chef Dupree: Chef Dupree will provide Light refreshments 5. Chairs and tables: Will coordinate the setup of chairs and tables to ensure the space is prepared for the ceremony. 6. For this donation drive, the VFI is requesting personal hygiene products and hats/gloves. The structure of this donation drive will be each item donated counts as 0.5 hours of volunteering, with a maximum of 2 hours that is able to be earned (4 items donated). We are going to collect deodorant, toothbrushes, toothpaste, razors, shampoo/conditioner, body soap, hand soap, hats, gloves, and scarves. The collection bin will be located in the front entranceway starting Monday November 18th and the final collection will be on Friday November 22nd.

The event is designed to promote connection, enjoyment, and cognitive engagement among veteran residents while providing students with an opportunity to give back to the community. Volunteers will assist in organizing and facilitating the games, interacting with residents, and helping create a fun and supportive environment. This event aims to foster meaningful relationships, reduce social isolation, and show appreciation for our veterans through shared activities and conversation. We have recently discovered that his mother, step-father and brother have al bene diagnosed and are being treated for various types of cancer. His family owns their own restaurant in Florida, and have been unable to work much (if at all). We wanted to put together a quick fundraiser of selling holiday cookies to give Tyler a little bit of extra money to bring him to his family for the holidays. We request to use a table in the cafeteria this week, Tuesday 12/17 - Friday 12/20 during the lunch hour to sell the cookies.

Some of the topics we plan to cover are: -Pay difference with military vs civilian, in residency and later. -Military match vs civilian match, in terms of how competitive they each are for different specialties. -Military residency vs civilian residency, regarding degree of training, is one better than the other? -Overview of what a GMO is, pros and cons to that path, and differences in their usage in each branch. -Q/A time, eBoard to come with prepared questions to supplement. -Clinical cases as time allows. Guest Speakers: Bryan G. Anderson, DO, MHSA; Eric Goodrich D.O., MSMEd COVID Protocols: All attendees will wear masks (3-ply or greater) unless presenting while remaining greater than 6 feet away from others. All attendees will have their temperature checked at the entrance to the Main Campus. Per LECOM guidance all students will continue to complete daily symptom checklist found on the portal. Presenters will be contacted and given the portal symptom checklist the day prior to the event. If any answers are positive, Dr. Shabloski will be notified. Attendees will sit in every other seat in the lecture hall to ensure social distancing. Attendance will be taken for possible contact tracing purposes.

The death toll has passed 47,000 and is continuously increasing. Along with casualties, Turkey and Syria have experienced property damage to hospitals, roads, and bridges. AMMSA would like to host a basketball tournament fundraiser with all proceeds to be directed towards the damage from the earthquake in Turkey/Syria. We hope to have a bracket tournament with a small prize for the winners to support everyone impacted by the earthquake.

However due to the Covid-19 pandemic, we are unable to sell food like this again. Therefore, we are hoping to sell premium winter jackets embroidered with the LECOM logo. Northface jackets are the premier in winter clothing and many other medical schools sell a version with their logo. Selling the "LECOM Northface Jacket" will provide students with an opportunity to wear high quality clothing that they can take pride in because it represents their school. We plan to sell the jackets at a low profit to keep them affordable for all students, and we plan to sell to all years and colleges at LECOM. We plan on using the official LECOM logo as provided in the portal on the jacket, embroidered in all white.

We have had previous meetings at this location, and the church is willing to let us continue to use the space. There is ample space to be able to stay 6 feet apart and social distance. We will require masks be worn the entire meeting, have a sign up sheet prior to the event to see how the room needs to be set up to ensure social distancing, and take attendance at the meeting.
October 27, 2025 at 12:26 PMApprovedClass of 2028 Thanksgiving LunchClass of 202810/27/202511/20/2025To bring students together in a spirit of gratitude and community before the Thanksgiving holiday, we would like to request approval to host a Class of 2028 Thanksgiving Lunch on Thursday, November 20th, 2025, during the M2 lunch hour (11:30 AM – 12:20 PM) at the LECOM cafeteria and Vora lounge. We plan to cater Chipotle trays featuring a “Build Your Own” setup to keep the meal customizable and enjoyable for everyone. The menu will include white rice, black beans, chicken, fajita vegetables, shredded cheese, fresh tomato salsa (pico de gallo), roasted corn, and soft flour tortillas. We will order enough food for approximately 150 people, totaling $1,590, covered by Class Board funds. Each tray set (“The Single”) includes one protein, two bases, two toppings, two salsas, and one type of tortilla. Setup & Distribution: Food will be served by Class Board members wearing gloves and following hygiene protocols. Distribution will take place at two locations: by the tables near the lunch checkout area in the cafeteria and in the Vora Lounge. Each site will have one line entering and one line exiting to ensure smooth flow and minimize congestion. Dr. Falk will be in attendance instead of Dr. Thielman. Cleanup: Board members will handle all cleanup responsibilities and coordinate with Maintenance to ensure the cafeteria is left in its original condition.
