The contact is a university professor of ASL (american sign language), and has expressed interest in coming in to teach basic medical sign language to medical students. She is also interested in education on deaf culture as well, and plans to bring in 1-2 deaf individuals so that they can explain their experiences with healthcare.

Each MS1 will just join 1 of 60 unique google meeting links and the MS2 responsible for that link will ask them a set of oral questions. Next, they will give them quick feedback. Dr. Kulesza has okayed the set up and supplied the questions for everything. Dr. Jung is also aware of the event.
	March 10, 2024 at 4:18 PM	Approved	Class of 2027 Pickleball Tournament	Class of 2027	03/10/2024	04/27/2024	A pickleball tournament for the class of 2027 is a great way to bring our peers together and share friendly competition, take a break from studying while getting some exercise, and build teamwork skills. The event would take place on Saturday, April 27 from 9-3 (depending on how many teams join) at the LECOM Medical Fitness and Wellness Center. Each team must consist of two players, and entry into the tournament is free. Players must know and understand the basic rules of pickleball and it is preferred that they bring their own pickleball rackets, however, some extra rackets will be purchased by the Class Board if needed. Games will be played to 7 win by 2, or 11 straight. Depending on how many teams join, a time constraint of 20 minutes may be placed per game so that all games can be completed. In addition, the tournament will be bracket play only (no pool play) depending on how many teams sign up. Cash prizes will be awarded to the top three teams. First place team receives $100, second and third place teams will each get $50.

This will be an interactive panel discussion with plenty of time for questions from the audience. We plan to open this up to Orthopedics Club and Women's Health Club from Erie campus as well as ACOS clubs at our sister campuses of Bradenton, Seton Hill, and Elmira. As the year is coming to an end we want to use this as an opportunity to bring all of LECOM together before many of us go away for the summer. Thus we are planning on hosting a softball game against willing faculty to lift the spirits of all participants as we near the end of this long semester. It can also be a social event where we can have food for sale like typical baseball or softball items like cracker jacks, chips, and sunflower seeds as a fundraising opportunity with everyone not participating just coming to watch the game and socialize! These will be purchased from Sam's Club using our clubs funds and sold at a food stand by our board members that are not participating. This event will be a 7 inning softball game between staff and students located at the softball field on campus. The initial date will be Friday May 1st at 6 pm with a rainout date of May 8th also at 6 pm. The game will last all 7 innings, 2 hours, or until it gets too dark to see whichever comes first. I, Tyler Weber, have experience being a softball umpire and will do so for this game unless another staff member or student would like to step in and do so. Gloves will not be supplied so that will be on each participating individual to bring their own. Bats and balls will be supplied for the game. Staff and students will sign up via a google form which will be sent out 2 weeks before the event and close 3 days before. If there are not enough staff that sign up their team will be filled with students to make a complete team. Teams will be maxed out at 16 participants to allow for substitutions (this number may be extended). If we have more students or staff to sign up than slots available we will attempt to accommodate if possible, but in the instance that it is not we will select participants based off a random lottery which will take place once the google form has closed. The random lottery will be completed by a 3rd party with no involvement in the event to ensure fairness and transparency in the selection process. All selected participants will be notified via email within 24 hours of the lottery being completed, along with any additional details regarding game logistics, arrival time, and expectations for participation. To maintain a safe and enjoyable environment, all participants will be expected to adhere to basic sportsmanship guidelines and any campus policies in place. Waivers may be required prior to participation, and we will coordinate with campus administration to ensure all necessary approvals, risk management considerations, and event support are in place. Overall we aim to produce a fun environment for all to attend!

The Erie County Medical Society will be supplying equipment for "Stop the Bleed" and students will be assisting in teaching the public.
