	July 26, 2023 at 10:33 AM	Rejected	Presque Isle Clean Up Series	ACOS-MSS	07/26/2023	09/30/2023	ACOS, SOMA and Sports Medicine have partnered to put together a Presque Isle clean up volunteering event for all MS1 and MS2 students. This event would be through Adopt A Beach which is an organization through Pennsylvania that does monthly beach clean ups. They have specific days and beaches they clean, but for groups that cannot make those dates, they allow them to pick up supplies and assign them a beach. There will be a sign-up sheet and I will pick up the necessary supplies prior to the event (trash bags, gloves etc.). They will also assign us a specific beach (6, 8, 10 or 11) based on their needs at that time. We would like to do two clean up days this semester - September 30th and October 21st from 9am-11am. This event would provide students with an opportunity to give back to their community and help keep our beaches clean. Our counterparts in Elmira recently had a similar event which was a success, and we are hoping to continue to give back here in Erie. These hours will also count towards touch point hours, LECOM hours and SSP hours. Our hope is that we can establish a relationship with Adopt A Beach and continue these events in the spring as well. The educational purpose of this event is to continue to build connections within the community and to give back to Erie. Furthermore, here are the COVID protocols that I ensure are upheld at all ACOS events: 1.) We will have a full roster of every individual who has signed up for the event 2.) We will have a check-in for all members and staff who attend the event 3.) We will sanitize before and after the suturing clinic and mentorship discussion to avoid the potential spread of COVID 4.) We will create a screening form for all members that sign up and require that they disclose any signs and symptoms, travel history, and close contact history prior to attending. 5.) Masks and social distancing will be implemented in accordance with LECOM protocol

Dr. Stull is a LECOM graduate and current physician within the Medical Associates of Erie. The anticipated event will be held on January 9th from 5:30-7pm in Lecture Hall D. Our advisor, Dr. Melodie Chludzinski will be present. Furthermore, here are the COVID protocols that I ensure are upheld at all ACOS events: 1.) We will have a full roster of every individual who attends the guest lecturer event 2.) We will require masks, and uphold social distancing of at least 6 feet 3.) We will create a screening form for all members that sign up and require that they disclose any signs and symptoms, travel history, and close contact history prior to attending The educational purpose of this event is to expose students to a critical aspect of primary care, OBGYN. As some students may not have been exposed to this specialty yet, this will be a fantastic opportunity to allow students to engage with and learn from a practicing OBGYN within the LECOM Health system.

The virtual seminar will be led by former ACOS National Liaison, Ashton Amos. We want to hold this as our first event so that it is open to all MS1s before they have to pay their official dues as we believe this topic would benefit everyone. Additionally, we are holding this event virtually to best accommodate a large audience while following COVID protocol.
	April 4, 2025 at 1:45 PM	Approved	MS4 Post-Match Panel	ACOS-MSS	04/04/2025	05/07/2025	ACOS will host a post-match panel with MS4 students who recently matched into surgical or related specialties. This event will be held on Zoom and will be open to all MS1, MS2, and MS3 students. Students will have the opportunity to submit questions for the panelists ahead of time. Questions will be distributed across the panelists during the event. If time allows, students may ask live questions to the panelists. This will be an excellent opportunity for students to hear about the journey of MS4s who were once in their shoes. This will also allow students to learn and understand the process of matching into competitive specialties and how to strengthen your resume and background to successfully match into competitive specialties. The educational purpose of this event is to expose members of ACOS to the different types of suturing techniques. After speaking with upperclassman, they have expressed that it is extremely important to understand how to suture during surgical rotations. This event aims to helps students of any year to ask questions about suturing and learn the importance of different types of stiches. I believe NAMIWalks carries a powerful message, inspiring and advocating "Mental Health for All,” and our club at LECOM envisions a future where all physicians stand together to promote and prioritize mental health as an essential part of every patient's healthcare journey. The fundraiser walk will take place on Sunday, September 14th, 2025, and will be located at Penn State Behrend - Junker Center Parking Lot 5285 Station Rd, Erie, PA 16510. Volunteers will help with passing out refreshments and by being walk guides for the participants. The volunteering period will span from 7:00am - 11am. For those who want to participate in the walk alone, registration opens at 8AM.
