This event aims to bring together students and faculty who are interested in learning more about Asian cultures. During the event, students and faculty will be able to: Enjoy free food from a variety of cultures. Participate in fun, interactive games inspired by different traditions. Meet and connect with the APAMSA Executive Boar. This event is open to all students and faculty and provides an excellent opportunity for cultural exchange, community building, and promoting inclusivity at LECOM. Foods will be labeled with ingredients to accommodate anyone with allergies or other diet restrictions. The foods that will be served: Chinese: Fried Rice, Dumpings, Scallion Pancakes, Vita Juices Korean: Kimbab, Buldak Ramen and Korean Grape Juice Indian: Roti, Butter Chicken Vietnamese: Pho Ga Desserts: Baklava

During May is a time to study for boards and finals and it can be very stressful. This brings an opportunity for students to purchase and try a variety of Asian snacks, either for themselves or friends, and to destress for a bit. It can be tough to find Asian treats around Erie, so APAMSA would like to bring them right to campus. It would provide a great opportunity for students to unwind, explore new flavors, or reminisce. Students will be able to choose from a wide array of Asian snacks which includes Matcha KitKats, Banana Milk, HICHEW, and much more! All the money raised will go towards supporting the club to fund future events. Students will be able to pick and choose what they want and the quantity they would like in a google form which will be sent out to LECOM students upon event approval. The preorder will end at 11:59PM on Wednesday, May 1st. Snacks will be available for pickup from 12PM - 12:45 PM on Thursday, May 9th in the LECOM cafeteria. These are the snacks that students will be able to purchase: Banana Milk Kit Kat Matcha Strawberry Milk Tea HICHEW Pocky: Kopiko Candy Hello Panda Maxim Instant Coffee LECOM does not need to provide anything, APAMSA will be responsible for any clean up after the event.

Any snacks that are not sold out will be available for purchase on the day of pick-up which will be from 11:30 PM - 12:30 PM on Tuesday, December 10th in the LECOM cafeteria. These are the snacks that students will be able to purchase: Tonkatsu Ramen Buldak Ramen White Jjampong Vietnamese Instant Pho Maxim Instant Coffee Vita Drinks: Lemon Tea and Honey Chrysanthemum Taiwan Classic Bubble Tea Kit Kats: Strawberry, Matcha, Milk Tea, Strawberry Shortcake LECOM does not need to provide anything, APAMSA will be responsible for any clean up after the event.
August 31, 2024 at 5:07 PMApprovedAPAMSA x Tsaocaa Boba FundraiserAPAMSA08/31/202410/21/2024APAMSA would like to host a bubble tea fundraiser at the local boba shop, Tsaocaa. This is a great opportunity for LECOM students to explore a popular drink from a different culture while also helping APAMSA to raise funds for future events. This is also a great opportunity to promote an Asian-run business in the area. Fundraising is also a great way to keep membership costs at $0 and encourage students to join and support APAMSA. LECOM students will be able to order and customize their drinks as they’d like at the shop. Students must order in person at the cashier and show the APAMSA flyer to the cashier to show that their purchase is supporting the APAMSA fundraiser. As per the agreement between APAMSA and the Tsaocaa management, 20-25% of the entire order (including food and drink), will go towards APAMSA. The event date would occur October 21st from 5 PM - 10 PM. This date was selected to allow MS2s to relax after their Cardiovascular exam and for MS1s to relax after their Anatomy exams.

The film recently won many awards, especially for being an all-asian cast, this is huge for the community. This event will hold academic purpose by educating others of appreciation for other cultures. There will be COVID-protocols in place.

Students, faculty, and staff are welcome to present our flyer during their visit to help raise funds for our club. The fundraiser will take place during Andora's business hours from 10am- 8pm and we will offer an optional group meetup at Andora's at 6pm, open to LECOM associated individuals and APAMSA members, to encourage group interaction within the LECOM community. Andora's will offer 25% of their profits during the fundraiser and all proceeds will be kept for future APAMSA funds/spendings. LECOM protocol and COVID restrictions will be implemented during the optional meet-up.

We will be accepting new, unwrapped toys for kids in need. We will have a box in the front entrance where our club members can donate their items and then we will send them to the organization. There will be a maximum of 2 volunteer hours, with each product being 0.5 hours. This has to take place right before the holiday seasons.

LECOM APAMSA x CMDAAPAMSA03/20/202604/29/2026APAMSA and CMDA are hosting a bubble tea and fruit tea fundraiser with products from the local boba shop, Tsaocaa. This is a great opportunity for LECOM students to explore popular drinks from a different culture while also helping APAMSA and CMDA to raise funds for future events and keep membership costs at $0. This is also a great opportunity to help support an Asian-run business in the area. LECOM students will be able to order and customize their food and drink based on the attached Google Form. Students must order via the form for delivery onto campus. APAMSA board members available that morning will bring the order from the shop to campus. The orders will be available for pickup on Wednesday, April 29th from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM, with setup 11:00 AM-11:30 AM and double-checking for any leftovers 12:30 PM-12:45 PM. This will be right before the rotations update (MS1s) and neuro reviews (MS2s). This date and time was selected to maximize sales and streamline distribution. MS1s are required to go to the rotations update later that day, and MS2s can relax after their one-liner exams and refresh before their neuro review afterwards.

The session will include practical instruction on basic signs that can be useful during patient interactions. We are also working to have a member of the deaf community join to share their experiences and the challenges they face in communicating their healthcare needs. This is a valuable opportunity to gain skills that can improve patient care and enhance clinical communication.

We are hoping to get the second years pocket sized leather notebooks that they can use on rotations that are custom made with the LECOM logo etched into the leather. In he picture attached, the grey notebook will be used and the Logo will be etched onto the front. Please forward files for communication department to review.

This will provide students the opportunity to show pride in their school while staying warm. We plan to sell the jackets at a low profit to keep them affordable for all students and we plan to sell to all LECOM Erie students and staff. We plan on using the official LECOM logo and have been in contact with Matt Bresee on its appropriate use. The North Face Jacket Fundraiser will help our club accumulate funds to use this coming school year on any events that we plan on hosting. Once this event is approved, we will reach out to The North Face regarding the fundraiser. Embroidery of these jackets will be done at the local Embroidery Shoppe (3018 Cherry St, Erie, PA 16508). When the jackets ready, we will distribute them in the Vora Lounge. The main point of contact for this fundraiser will be Mohammad Qasem at mqasem20080@med.lecom.edu.
