We plan to open this up to Orthopedics Club and Women's Health Club from Erie campus as well as ACOS clubs at our sister campuses of Bradenton, Seton Hill, and Elmira. As the year is coming to an end we want to use this as an opportunity to bring all of LECOM together before many of us go away for the summer. Thus we are planning on hosting a softball game against willing faculty to lift the spirits of all participants as we near the end of this long semester. It can also be a social event where we can have food for sale like typical baseball or softball items like cracker jacks, chips, and sunflower seeds as a fundraising opportunity with everyone not participating just coming to watch the game and socialize! These will be purchased from Sam's Club using our clubs funds and sold at a food stand by our board members that are not participating. This event will be a 7 inning softball game between staff and students located at the softball field on campus. The initial date will be Friday May 1st at 6 pm with a rainout date of May 8th also at 6 pm. The game will last all 7 innings, 2 hours, or until it gets too dark to see whichever comes first. I, Tyler Weber, have experience being a softball umpire and will do so for this game unless another staff member or student would like to step in and do so. Gloves will not be supplied so that will be on each participating individual to bring their own. Bats and balls will be supplied for the game. Staff and students will sign up via a google form which will be sent out 2 weeks before the event and close 3 days before. If there are not enough staff that sign up their team will be filled with students to make a complete team. Teams will be maxed out at 16 participants to allow for substitutions (this number may be extended). If we have more students or staff to sign up than slots available we will attempt to accommodate if possible, but in the instance that it is not we will select participants based off a random lottery which will take place once the google form has closed. The random lottery will be completed by a 3rd party with no involvement in the event to ensure fairness and transparency in the selection process. All selected participants will be notified via email within 24 hours of the lottery being completed, along with any additional details regarding game logistics, arrival time, and expectations for participation. To maintain a safe and enjoyable environment, all participants will be expected to adhere to basic sportsmanship guidelines and any campus policies in place. Waivers may be required prior to participation, and we will coordinate with campus administration to ensure all necessary approvals, risk management considerations, and event support are in place. Overall we aim to produce a fun environment for all to attend!

The Erie County Medical Society will be supplying equipment for "Stop the Bleed" and students will be assisting in teaching the public.

We have included the information he requested prior to resubmission. Proposed dates: Monday December 5th through Friday December 9th Idea: SOMA will be putting together a Christmas Card Drive. Cards will be made by students to bring joy to residents, so these cards will include writing from students. Students will make or fill out cards to be distributed to SLC Residents. This will be a contactless event, and we propose having collection boxes near the security doors. Students will be able to leave their cards for collection. Cards will be picked up at the end of the drive by Paarth Sharma or Co-Chair Smaran Teru. We will advertise this event to the entire Class of 2025 and class of 2026, so they are able to participate. Cards should be dropped off at the security office or at Colleen's desk on the second floor. This will be done in a contact-free manner. As has been done in other clubs, service hours will be provided with 3 cards = 1 hour of service. Cards will be dropped off at the LECOM Living Center - coordinated with Emily Carver - ecarver@lecomslc.org. Why: SOMA wants to create a COVID-safe opportunity for students to get involved in the Erie community. Having this card drive creates an event that allows LECOM students to reach out and be involved with the school and community. As this event has been very successful in the past, and Dr. Silvia Ferretti commented on what a nice event it was last year when we had the cards at Colleen’s desk, we really would like the opportunity to have it again. Here is the request for the drive that was approved last year: Idea: SOMA will be putting together a Holiday Card drive. This will be a contactless event, and we propose having collection boxes at the entrance to Main Campus. Students will be able to leave the cards for collection. Items will be picked up at the end of the drive by myself (Ellie Schommer) or Co-Chair Garrett Kettle. We will advertise this event to the entire Class of 2024 and class of 2025 so they are able to participate. At the conclusion of the drive, I will arrange a date and time to drop off the supplies to St. Mary’s Senior Living Center. This will be done in a contact-free manner. Why: SOMA wants to create a COVID-safe opportunity for students to get involved in the Erie community. Having this drive creates an event for LECOM students to reach out and be involved with the Erie community. Proposed dates: Monday November 29 – Friday December 3 Alternate dates: Monday December 6 – Friday December 10 Here is the request for the same drive that was approved in the Spring for Saint Patrick’s Day: Proposed dates: Monday March 7th through March 11th Alternate dates: Monday March 14th through Wednesday March 16th Idea: SOMA will be putting together a St. Patrick’s Card Drive. This will be a contactless event, and we propose having collection boxes in the cafeteria. Students will be able to leave their cards for collection. Cards will be picked up at the end of the drive by Co-Chair Paarth Sharma or Co-Chair Smaran Teru. We will advertise this event to the entire Class of 2024 and class of 2025, so they are able to participate. Dr. Kulesza just informed us that we will need to request lecture hall C so that PBL students can partake in a practice exam as well. ACOS will be working alongside Dr. Kulesza in setting up a mock practical, with both a written and oral component for all MS1s to help prepare for their first exam. We are opening up assistance in preparation for the mock exam to SSP so that MS2s can gain volunteer hours for their time. The written component will take place in the Cadaver lab while the oral will be held in the cafeteria. The following COVID-19 protocol will be strictly followed (if mandated at the time of the event): 1.) We will have a full roster of every individual who has signed up for the clinic--both volunteers and attendees 2.) We will have a check-in for all members and staff who attend the mock practical 3.) We will require masks, and uphold social distancing of at least 6 feet 4.) We will sanitize before and after the exam to avoid the potential spread of COVID 5.) We will create a screening form for all members that sign up and require that they disclose any signs and symptoms, travel history, and close contact history prior to attending 7.) We will keep attendees in smaller groups by generating different start times for their exam

I have attached the mew gray shirt with white LECOM logo in the additional attachments location We have designed a casual wear long sleeve T-shirt with the LECOM logo on the front pocket. We will be advertising on Facebook and by word of mouth. Once we know how many orders we have and the shipment comes in we will set up a time to distribute the shirts. We would like to use the cafeteria one day in the middle of March (TBD) and then personally set times to distribute them to whomever cannot make it to the cafeteria that day. We would like to order both a gray and black design, both of which I have attached. We plan to have all of the shirts distributed by the end of March.
