We will do marketing via social media to promote the sale and masks will be worn on the day of distribution in concordance with the school’s COVID mitigation plan. The sale will take place from August 7th – September 7th 2023 over email. Each bag will cost 50 dollars and Distribution will occur in the Fall. The drive involves students signing up on an excel spreadsheet for the items they would like to donate from October 1st- 13th. We would then provide a bin for the students to drop off their donations from October 16th- 20th. The donation bin will be left near the security office, and emptied as it fills to ensure enough space for donations to be left in the bin. For participating in the drive we will offer 1 service hour for every 2 items a student donates, with each student able to earn a maximum of 2 service hours. We would then provide a bin for the students to drop off their donations from November 27th – December 1st. The donation bin will be left near the security office, and emptied as it fills to ensure enough space for donations to be left in the bin. For participating in the drive we will offer 1 service hour for every 2 items a student donates, with each student able to earn a maximum of 2 service hours. Students will be dropping off donations to the bin located in the LECOM building and therefore adhere to LECOM COVID mitigation policies. Then, there will be a hands-on learning opportunity for students to practice and be assessed on techniques. Upon successful completion of the course, Dr. Risavi will issue students a CPR license from the National CPR Foundation. It will give our members the chance to interact with one another while earning a valuable certification. All equipment and mannequins for the interactive activity will be provided by Dr. Risavi.
