November 11, 2025 at 4:43 PMApprovedPBL Breakfast @ BayfrontMental Health Task Force11/11/202512/05/2025The Mental Health Task Force would like to request permission to host a PBL Breakfast for first- and second-year students at the Bayfront campus on December 5th from 9-11 am. The event would take place in the Bayfront cafeteria on a table (that the task force will bring) along the righthand wall in front of the Coca-Cola display case and will include pre-packaged breakfast items such as muffins, granola bars, and Pop-Tarts. A Mental Health Task Force member and a faculty member, Dr. Waters, will be present for the entire event to make sure everything goes smoothly. This event is intended to support student wellbeing during a period of increased academic stress, as PBL students are currently approaching finals. Many students have limited time in the morning to prepare or eat breakfast, and providing convenient, individually packaged food options encourages proper nourishment, allows for a brief study break, and fosters positive peer interaction. We believe this event will promote community support, reduce stress, and reinforce healthy habits during a demanding time in the semester.

November 3, 2025 at 4:32 PMApprovedPediatrics Club and Womens Health and Medical Society - LECOM Embroidered Sweatshirt SalePediatrics Club11/03/202511/12/2025Pediatrics Club and WHMS will be partnering to hold a LECOM embroidered sweatshirt sale. We have been working with a local shop, Creative Imprints, in addition to Matthew Breeze to ensure the proper LECOM logo (from the powerpoint file) was used to develop mockups. We will be offering students 2 different sweatshirt options, one being a 50/50 cotton/poly blend crewneck (cheaper option), and a second (more durable option) Champion cotton/poly/black poly power blend, moisture wicking, rib-hemmed crewneck. Both sweatshirt options will have the LECOM logo embroidered across the center of the chest. Sweatshirts will range in raw price from $32.30-$46.55 depending on how many of each sweatshirt option are purchased. The $40 and $55 cost per sweatshirt permits us a cushion for fundraising of about $7-$8 per sweatshirt purchased (divided between both clubs). Students will have the ability to select from a range of color choices as well as from sizes S-3XL when purchasing. See attached mockups for reference. The sale will be open to students until Wednesday November 12th. Sweatshirt orders will be placed with Creative Imprints on Friday, November 14th. Sweatshirt orders will be completed (per Creative Imprints representative Abigail). This permits Peds Club and WHMS Executive Boards to distribute sweatshirts during finals week so students may purchase them as gifts for the holiday if they choose. We will plan to disburse sweatshirts to students during the day on Tuesday 12/15 & 12/16 in the cafeteria. Final fundraising amounts will be determined once all payments have been collected, and once raw costs for the sweatshirts have been used to pay Creative Imprints. Pediatrics Club and WHMS will then evenly split the proceeds for fundraising purposes.

Each month will feature a different theme (such as Fall, Winter, New Year, Spring, Hobbies, etc.), and participants can write letters or short notes related to that theme. The letters won’t be addressed to a specific person—instead, they’ll be shared for anyone at the senior center to read or pick up, and we’ll receive letters in return for students to enjoy as well. This ongoing exchange will be a fun and meaningful way to build intergenerational connections and spread kindness throughout the year.
