Dear Students,
We are excited to announce a collaboration between the Medical Spanish Club and the Student National Medical Association (SNMA) to host a donation drive in support of Community of Caring, an emergency homeless shelter providing essential services to individuals in need. This is a great opportunity for us as future medical professionals to make a meaningful impact in our community.
The donation drive will take place from November 14 through November 22, 2024.
Why Your Participation Matters:
The Community of Caring offers more than just shelter—they provide critical resources, hope, and stability to those facing homelessness, health challenges, and financial hardship. By contributing, you can help bring relief to people navigating some of life’s toughest circumstances.
How You Can Help:
-
Donate Items from the “Needs List”: We have attached a list of items needed by the shelter, which includes toiletries, clothing, and other essentials that can make a real difference.
-
Earn Volunteer Hours: For every 2 items donated, you will receive 1 volunteer hour (up to 2 hours for 4 items). Although the hour limit is capped at 2, we encourage you to donate as much as you can—every contribution helps!
-
Where to Donate: A donation box, clearly labeled, will be located near the north entrance of the school.
Tracking Your Volunteer Hours:
Please be sure to record your volunteer hours on the SGA website to ensure proper credit for your donations.
Thank you in advance for your generosity and commitment to this important cause.
Warm regards
