Dr. Brian Risavi graduated from the Des Moines University College Of Osteopathic Medicine and completed his residency in Emergency Medicine at St. Lukes Hospital in Bethlehem, PA. Currently, he is an assistant professor of emergency medicine at LECOM. He also serves as Regional EMS Medical Director for the PA Department of Health Bureau of Emergency Medical Services. Dr. Risavi will be presenting to the LECOM internal medicine club to give a presentation about “How to Succeed on Rotations and Residency” while also explaining the transition from the emergency room to internal medicine care. In doing so, students will get a better understanding of how the two fields work together in admitting and treating a patient, providing an efficient standard of patient care. Club members will be able to attend the presentation to learn how to best prepare and stand out during their rotations and get the residency of their choice. Dr. Risavi will also answer any questions that students may have about rotations or the field of Emergency and Internal Medicine.
