This event will be a dual event with the both the ENT/Ophthalmology Club and Medical Spanish Club where Dr Shauna Berry, DO Ophthalmologist, will be answering questions pertaining to both clubs. Dr Berry is a pediatric ophthalmologist who graduated from NOVA Southeastern University and practices at Florida Lions Eye Clinic in Naples, Florida. This clinic does outreach work in Immigrant communities in southwest Florida where they see primarily Cuban and Puerto Rican Patients. She will be speaking on the challenges and experiences she’s had providing care in Spanish speaking outreach settings and as well as how we can get involved in this line of work as physicians in our future. She will also be discussing her career path in Ophthalmology, her fellowships, and recommendations of how to to best pursue ophthalmology as a medical student. We will open it up for questions at the end.
