This is a volunteer opportunity that involves working with elementary students in Elmira, NY. The Economic Opportunity Program (EOP) is used to create community engagement and prosperity. Medical students will have the opportunity to volunteer weekly at the after-school program. This will take place at Diven Elementary school, Riverside Elementary school and the EOP Ernie Davis Family Center. Those who participate will help elementary students with homework, aid in teaching them important topics (pertaining to academics, social interactions, self care, etc), and help with after school activities.
