SOMA will be hosting a Q&A panel with LECOM Erie MS3 and MS4 students who will answer questions about advice for clinical rotations, residency preparation, and questions regarding their rotation sites and how they went about the ranking process. The questions will come from SOMA members. This event will be open to all SOMA members.

LECOM Erie SOMA Patagonia Fundraiser. Sale will be a duplicate of the Bradenton Patagonia Sale. Orders will be placed later in Fall semester with pick-up on campus. Patagonia's will be able to be custom embroidered with names and feature the school crest logo.

SAAO will be hosting its second OPP Friday on October 29th at 5:00 p.m. in the OPP lab. This is an opportunity for students to get to learn more techniques in osteopathic medicine than what we are taught in class. School supplies drive to benefit local Erie schools. SOMA wants to create a COVID-safe opportunity for students to get involved in the Erie community. Having this school supplies drive creates an event is a way for LECOM students to reach out and be involved with the school community. This will be a contact-free event.

Join us as we welcome Dr. Laura Vater, MD, MPH for her talk on Compassion in Medicine. Dr. Vater is a hematology oncology fellow, writer, and speaker who has published a number of narrative medicine essays and is working on her first novel!

Women's Health and Medical Society will be collecting your scrubs to have embroidered with personalizations for 10$! Having a set of personalized scrubs will be a staple in our future clinical lives. Grab a pair to send in!

SAAO will be holding a T-shirt sale at the end of the semester to provide students the opportunity for last minute Christmas gifts that include the LECOM logo. Shirts will include the definition of Osteopathic Medicine on the back to spread the word and importance of the holistic approach of being a DO.
